    A little logic here:

Israel is scared that if Iran has nukes it would even out the playing field, and they would be forced to make concessions. A return of the Palestinians would be part of it and that would lead to a Muslim majority which would be the end of the Israeli state.

Also if Iran was to have nukes, Saudi Arabia would then say it needs nukes for defensive reasons. And then what about Turkey with its expansionist ambitions? Wouldn't they want nukes?

Who is supporting terrorists in the ME ? - and how does stating that Israel would have a tough battle on its hands with Iran (right wrong or otherwise) show support for the ME terrorists.. and who are these terrorists that you are referring to ?

Be patient. Trump's GONE, and the Iranians know they've got a green light now to roll out thermonuclear hydrogen weapons and the ICBM's to deliver them with.

Look for Iran to stage their big "coming-out" party in no more than another five years....

Turkey is part of the NATO and top of my head, there are nuclear missiles stashed there since it's rather close to Russia.

And the entire idea that Iran hasn't got a nuclear bomb by now, because of Israel crying wolf and the US putting up sanctions is just retarded. This has been going on for almost 20 years by now... looking at the sanctions. The amount of goods being smuggled is sky high. And these are not the 1940's when the US invented from scratch using computers with the power of a potato. But it's not as if there ever is a moment that this actually is sinking in to American war mongers, and there are plenty of them spewing their frustration that their installed stooge (the Shah of Iran) got removed after decades of proffitting from their neo-colonial scheme where Iran still hasn't been reimbursed over.

Israel was never a member of the nuclear treaty.
Israel would be stupid, surrounded by enemies, not to go nuclear.
It's a democratic state and that is different to a fundamentalist dictatorship having nukes
(ie comparing France's nukes to say a Libyan nuke.)
Though many Palestinians live on indigenous Jewish land of Israel - all they have to do
is do a deal with Israel instead of internationalizing their grievances and infecting the rest
    of the world.
Iran did have a good deal - wasn't it 15 years and they could do what they liked afterwards?
And what did they want to do? Treat Israel as a "one bomb country,"

Every so often I have to read 1984. Apart from the banning of love I suspect
a lot of what he wrote is happening already. Now we are seeing the pulling
    down of statues.

But "logic" gets tossed aside by the dogmatic, Muslim priesthood which rules Iran, with its mania about killing-or-coverting all the "Infidels" in the world. And nothing could get the job done more effectively than thermonuclear hydrogen bombs....

If they want to kill all infidels in the world, then what have they been waiting for? They could have used chemical weapons for decades.

I don't think so! Israel said it's going to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities - and they will. I predict they'll do it before the summer. I hope I'm wrong, but that's how I read it.

I'm not too sure if there are nukes or anything in Turkey. During the Cuban missile crises, Kennedy supposedly stood up to Khruschev and forced him to back down. What really happened though is that Kennedy agreed to remove our missiles from Turkey.

Right now we have missiles in Romania and Poland, which can easily be converted into nuclear missiles. Russia knows this, and in response has its own missiles aimed at them - and at us. I doubt that either Russia or Turkey would aim anything at one another as long as Erdogan is in power. He is though on shaky ground because of Turkey's economic situation.

I don't know if you're right about that. The Alawite sect in Syria and Alevi sect in Turkey are part of the Shiite faith and yet they are very secular. I know the Sunnis in Syria looked down on the Alawites at one time - probably because of their secularism and all inclusiveness. It's assumed they were originally Christians and when forced to convert, decided to become Shia rather than Sunni.

What the religious leaders and probably all Muslims resent is Jerusalem not being under Islam. That's because Islam is a political system as well as a faith.

You have always shown a deep understanding of many aspects of developments in the Middle East, and I have always enjoyed reading your commentary.

That said, if Israel enters into an "unholy alliance" with Saudi Arabia and removes the Shi'a priesthood from power in Tehran, that certainly won't break my heart -- especially given my belief that if nobody gets them out, and SOON, Iran will have nuclear weapons.

Truth? The Iranians could test a no-kidding nuclear bomb tomorrow morning and the Biden/Harris regime would do absolutely nothing (NOTHING) about it at all... except maybe to suggest that everybody go back to Zürich and talk about even more fun stuff for a month....

Unfortunately, Iran has had a LOT of time to develop nuclear R&D facilities that are WAY underground and/or very inaccessible. They are also located at different facilities scattered throughout the entire country.

The best way to eliminate Iran's nuclear threat -- thoroughly -- would be to destroy nearly everything else in its above-ground military infrastructure, including air bases, navy installations, army compounds and storage depots.

Then, if the Iranians still want to contest the issue, you start destroying everything else -- roads, bridges, transportation hubs (including all railheads), business complexes, water purification plants, power-generation facilities, shopping centers, and so on.

Hint: it would be difficult to maintain the requisite momentum of morale needed to defeat 'the Infidels' when you can't even put your hands on an unburned roll of toilet paper.

Sounds like an argument for Iran to go nuclear with the US being so permanently hostile, and starting the hostilities by causing a coup to happen against an elected government. While Israel and it's supporters don't got any moral high grounds about Iran and the nuclear non proliferation pact, when Israel refuses to be part of it.

Irrelevant that it's democratic when it trashes the Geneva Conventions, permanently.

The Palestinians are as indigenous as it can get. They just accepted Muslim. Jews simply need to accept that by far most are descendants of immigrants. The Jews must come to terms that they ethnically cleansed about 90% of the country and thieved the real estate of civilians of an other race for the sake of their own extremist conviction... and so there is a debt to be paid instead of demanding by gones be by gones.

And Iran's deal was working good enough for everybody. Donald trashed it, and provoked Iran all over, flying into their airspace with drones, executing their leaders without any kind of trial. And in return Iran showed the world they got some top notch laser guided missiles being able to blow up multiple American military bases without anybody getting hurt. "pure coincidence"... sure. They also shot down a US drone, took a South Korean tanker and killed some Americans. Yeah, that taught them a lesson about "or else" against the US not signing the deal Donald wanted.

Iran will blow up Israel as a whole before the US gets close to any where near "everything else in it's above ground military infrastructure".
That Iran dome Israel has, gets 90% of what Hamas shoots. And that's not comparable with what Iran has.
That's why Israel is scared of Iran getting nukes.... because they know their chances about their Iron Dome vs Iranian missiles.
Iran is no Irak, who was already blown to pieces for months with them 2 no fly zones before the war started.

If you think it's all as easy as you chat to just blow up this and blow up that in Iran...
than you haven't been thinking it through why not one shot has been fired for decades at Iran.

What Israeli PM offered Hamas open borders, a rail line linking north to south of Israel
through to Gaza, an airport, a seaport, industrial parks and investment? Cannot remember,
but the offer was stunning - so too was the rejection.

    Kill_the_Jews.jpg

Yes, the Jews are 'indigenous' in as much as they lived in Israel from about the
the late Bronze Age. This area and Egypt became Arabic with the rise of Islam
in about the 7th Century AD.
The half million Jews expelled from seven Muslim nations after 1948, had been
in those countries far far longer than Islam. In Iran they were there from the
    time of the Babylonian captivity.

True. I accept that. Iran normally works through proxies and terrorism.
    It's asymmetric warfare here.
It's been said that when Iran has the bomb, so too overnight will Arabia,
Egypt and Turkey. This tells me these three countries don't fear an
Israeli bomb. But that's the end of nuclear non-proliferation. And then we
    should all fear.

This source says Turkey still got 50 nukes...
https://www.businessinsider.com/us-...0 bombs still at,removed 40 bombs from Turkey.

And Kennedy was only to stand up against Khruschev in the open. But in fact, he had to back down and at them days and lost their nuclear warheads in Italy and Turkey. He kept it under wraps to safe face and make Khruschev look bad. Khruschev, who at that time had well over a 100 nuclear missiles in Cuba, and he knew that the US was not aware off that number being so massively high... while he also showed they could shoot down that U2 plane of which the US thought that it could not be done.

It doesn't really matter. Turkey is part of NATO and NATO countries agreed to all start a war if one of them is being attacked. Your idea that Turkey is eager to get nukes is a bit weird, when they are in an alliance with multiple nuclear powers.

The latest offer with that rail line, was from Trump. And his idea was that Palestina must be remain fully demilitarized while the IDF gets to march around where and when they want. And so the offer was to remain fully occupied indefinitely by a hostile foreign army. That's besides the plan would also involve ethnic cleansing Israeli Arabs by the 100.000's and them stripping their Israeli citizenship. The offer was also about banning Palestina to be part of any international organization if Israel or the US disagrees, and never be able to file a lawsuit against those countries ever... ergo: must accept Israel and the US are above all international law, while they get to march around, shoot and bomb you in your own country with impunity.. and accept it can be done by a country you must acknowledge as the Jew state.

You're calling this "stunning" offer in a positive way? Only an extremist racist pro Jew would applaud this as stunningly good to have the Jews be such a 1st class race over Arabs.
This really was the dumbest proposal ever to put on paper by any human as a peace proposal.
Nothing ever got close to having this level insanity.

The rise of Islam is not about Muslims appearing from outer space. They were always already there... like the Palestinians. It's simply a fact that those people simply lived there as far as anybody is able to tell, and later just accepted Arab culture.

As for your Jews expelled from Muslim nations. Algeria did not have Jews. Algerian Jews accepted French citizenship, and so became French to be 1st class citizens in apartheid state France, to exploit the Arabs. France lost the independence war of Algeria and so all the French went back to their own country. There was no discrimination against ethnicity there. White and Jewish French simply went back to their home.

All this is, is the excuse made by Jews and their supporters why they have a "right" to ethnic cleanse Arabs civilians in Israel.
There is no such thing as having an excuse to ethnic cleanse.

The US is the biggest supporter of terrorism. Get real.
And if Iran wanted to have a nuke, like North Korea,... it would have done so a decade ago.
No US blockade would have prevented that.

Sure, America invaded Europe in 1945 after bombing it to the stone age.
Then it did the same for Japan, then Korea and Indo China.
I think the world would be a better place if there was no America - as any
Fascist, Communist or Islamist would tell you.
But your term 'terrorism' needs definition - we are working from different
    technical books here.

Begin, Olmert? Can't remember. Not much chance of even finding the details on the Internet.
But the offer was huge. It could have made Gaza an economic power house as Jews would
chase after cheap labor. Like US does with China.
But Hamas was made grand offers for peace - but it had to accept the state of Israel, which
it refuses to do. Hamas bet heavily that Oslo would fail. Its reason for existence is war.
I think there's about two or three million Arabs in Israel - they have FINALLY made the calculus
that to stay out of Israeli politics did not serve their interests. They voted not to join Ramallah.
Now they are a huge voting block being chased by Israeli politicians.

Muslims are historically recent. Arabs were not common in the old Levant - present but not
common. The Levant was pagan, then Jewish, then pagan, then Christian, then Muslim.
Only the Jews remain as an ethnic group. Others like the Moabites, Edomites, Amalekites
etc are gone. Many Canaanites shifted to Lebanon.
