It’s Stupid to Think Christianity is as Stupid as Some Skeptics Suppose

We don't need proof that Christians have asked these questions themselves, or have been asked them of others. We need proof that they came up with credible and logically consistent answers. What you want to do, is deny the legitimacy of the questions because they are 'old' instead of answering them at all. its not ' what Christians thought out' that matters. Its the quality of the results that matters.

 

As one of those people I am grateful not to be burdened with delusions.

 

How is the average person morally superior to the Christian God?

If most of us saw an adult raping a two your old child we would try to stop it. The Christian God does not. Christians explain this by spouting nonsense about free, will never considering the free will of the two year old not to be raped.

Why not just create a Heaven and let everyone in automatically?

And God also tells us that all the pain we've endured will be washed away so it won't matter if you were raped or not, it will be as if it never happened.

Unless you don't accept Him of course, then that feeling will probably be multiplied.

If there were direct evidence what would be the point in faith?

Any Christian will tell you the evidence is there once you accept God but not before.

You won't find a peer reviewed study proving the existence of God, that would be pointless.

It should have been called a crusade. The US was fighting a religion, or at least an often vaguely defined faction in a religion.

I mean, if God has the power to create all of this don't you think He also has the power to let us experience pure joy and to wash away all of the bad stuff?

I am going to school to be a teacher but it really doesn't matter what I do, if God wants to lead me down a different path He will and I will be just as happy because I won't be in this world for very long, my real goal I am working for is Heaven.

I have asked Him to guide me where He wants me to go so if that is His plan then I accept it.

He would be doing that for a reason, to use me, as I asked Him, for whatever purpose He deems I would be appropriate for.

Perhaps there is a kid somewhere I could only reach if I was in a wheelchair or perhaps an old man...I don't know but I do believe.

My father punched me in the face at the age of 16 for refusing to go to church. I opted out of the brainwashing and it was too much for him.
