For the most part you would be correct, like this thread.

No, but if you continue to contact the ATF they may pay you a visit. Be veeeery aware of men wearing sun glasses and talking into the sleeve. Always watch your rear view mirror and please remember these words....."Strudel noodle".

    Code words you may need.

Ron, I actually like you on this forum, sometimes you have a innocence way about you when you think things out. Most on here lost that innocence with age, politics, life or war but I need to remind you that this way of thinking can be a liability at times.

See you later on the political battleground.

My guess is that you really made someones day at the ATF. They are probably still laughing while retelling the story over a cold beer of someone thinking they were watching a real terrorist event on reality tv.

Sure, but why not just throw away the heads? Then, you don't have to worry at all. It tastes like ass anyway.

As I said. Heads and tails when mixed with hearts will give a different flavor. How much of each depends on a bunch of different things. Like how long you're going to age it. What level of char your cask is. Ect. If you are so inclined, search "mixing fractions" on home distillers . Org

Also. As I explained. You do not have to worry about methanol in your heads.

Because there is no alcohol pictured on moonshiners, no heads, hearts or tails. I can't believe that there are people who believe this show is real. Sheesh Gilligan's Island was more factual

Yeah. I said that in my very first post in this thread. I was simply pointing out some of the misconceptions about the distillation process.

Because moonshining is a crime, if they were really doing this the actors could not let their faces be shown otherwise they would be arrested. You get it now? It's a TV show, no moonshine is produced.

    Ignorance knows no bounds

Kind of. It depends on the state. In many states to do it legally all you need is a federal fuel production licence. Making it is then legal and does not become illegal until you attempt to transport it off your property or sell it on your property.

The ginseng show was blatantly staged; the violence and most of the content was fictional.

The same is true for this idiotic series.

Dude, people hiding in the *******n woods do not have a license. The show is 100% fake. If they are hiding in the woods how can they let their identities be known without getting arrested. THINK

    Sheesh

Never said it was real. As a matter of fact my first post in this thread said that it was completely staged. I was simply speaking to the legality of making distillate.

Are you an actual moonshiner? As they film this, along with characters faces and so forth, why can't they be actual moonshiners? Did you see the part where Tim met up with the former lawman hunting for him when he was illegal? Tim went legal and is apparently doing well. A local liquor store carries his moonshine.
I can't recall any of the short films that turned in the names of the moonshiners. I am not positive that Tim's name really is Tim.

It is a lot more difficult than you let on to arrest moonshiners. When the law catches them on the job, distilling booze, they can arrest and they do it all the time. The filming had to be very carefully done so those you call actors would not get arrested.

It is not real. Even though in most states it's legal to own a still of any size the making of distillate is illegal without permits and licences. All they would need for a conviction is footage of them running the still.

Thing is the way they do it on the show would not make liquor.
