I'm talking about the principle not the practice.

    But who knows?

Is that the reason though? I'm honestly taking a stab at the logic behind all this before i deep dive

Bullets are a necessary part of a gun. Like the screws that hold it all together, or the trigger, or the barrel. You can buy each piece of a gun separately. Bullets are no different. Its just another piece that is a necessary part to the completion of a whole.

Ink is not mentioned in the 1st Amendment's Free Press clause either. But without it to complete the whole you cannot have a Free Press.

Point is that everything that is needed to exercise a Right falls under the protection of that Right.

It absolutely is. The US is a country of laws not men.

If you can say that a gay person's marriage is purely symbolic in nature and has no legal weight, you can say the same of a mixed race couple. You just need a simple majority on the SCOTUS and you're done.

You don't think there are people out there who vehemently believe that should be the case?

You could do the same with white peoples marriages too. So what? You get enough people on your side and you can do anything to anybody. That’s democracy in action.

There are people out there that also want to marry their dog.

Should we expect legislation on that?

but someone has to watch over the self-checkout, you can't force them to observe people buying Condoms or Ham - that would be against their religion to play a part in that

so guess we need to ban cakes, ham, bacon, condoms, service dogs for the blind, alcohol, picking up sticks on the weekend.... the list goes on and on and on to what offends religious people

they do not need to that is contrary to its design, the guv authority requires positive law, the constitution with regard to the people is negative law. Therefore it need not be stated in the constitution as positive law for us. Point is we never voted on the rights they stole and now you dont have control over your own body, they own you worse than slavery!
We reserved to ourselves, the right to the pursuit of happiness, which as people are finally figuring out, rights trump privileges all the guv can grant is privilege, not rights.

which is why it's all or none, would you like a black supreme court that took all rights away from white people

no, people are people, regardless of race or gender

    So what?

We're not a pure democracy we are a constitutional republic in which a person's established rights are considered to be inalienable.

Roe established that women had an inalienable right to terminate a pregnancy. Now the SCOTUS has said that right was not inalienable. An oxymoron.

Which one of your inalienable rights do they have to reverse before you get it?

Maybe at some future point when the country is predominantly mixed race or of color (it's coming) some idiot will actually propose that whites only marriage distort and degrade the "culture" and need to be abolished?

You think that's a joke? I thought Roe, an established precedent of 50 years, being overturned was a joke but look where we are now.
