Or maybe he's read the Constitution and knows that races aren't mentioned at all in the document.

Probably knows a little bit about equal protection stuff too, unlike our resident self-taught experts.

We didn't wonder at all, actually.

Oh it wouldn't be him. It would be someone arguing that diluting the purity of the white race would lead to the destruction of the nuclear family that is the basis for morality and culture and all the things we hold dear as a nation.

If there's no right to privacy of decision it's just down to a numbers game.

Get five people to agree and we're done!

He won't be in control of his options. That's the point.

I'm somewhat flabbergasted that pro-choice proponents aren't aware of the simple fact that even the 1973 SC recognized the role viability had in permitting the States to regulate abortions. Where these people come up with an absolute right to abortion is bizarre.

Pure hyperbole is difficult to debate. So, I won't bother.

    It's not my hyperbole.

And today's hyperbole is tomorrow's court case as we've just witnessed.

You do get that he is potentially in favor of outlawing somebody else's marriage so why wouldn't somebody else be potentially in favor of outlawing his own?

The vast majority don't even know it only applied to the first trimester.

But then these are people who are ok with pulling a baby half way out of the birth canal and shoving a giant needle into the back of the skull to suck their brains out.

It also means that someone might not serve you birth control if they have a religious objection. And that includes condoms.

I would not be surprised if it was brought up.

Iirc, originally the point of viability was determined to be 24 weeks. After that the SC ruled the States had an interest in protecting the fetus.

I havn't looked into this stuff much but is the big deal here the fact that abortion/contraception/gay marriage all not elements of the constitution and as such the fed gov has no business getting involved in that stuff?

And you really believe such a proposal would have a chance to make it through the legislative branch into law? Are you an American?

Yeah I don't remember exactly, but I think it was broken down by trimesters.

I actually read a post by a well known poster on here (who usually parses their arguments with a dash of plausible deniability) talking about how blacks were "coming to take our women"!

I responded with a simple "WTF" but by the morning the post had been taken down, I suspect by the poster themselves.

    I wish I'd taken a screenshot.

    Nothing surprises me. Absolutely nothing.

I’ll say this again. Denying legal recognition of your marriage is not the same as denying you the right to marry.

These are the same people who cheered pharmacies refusing to fill prescriptions for hydroxychloroquine.

Wait.....are we talking about birth control pills for horses?
