The Fed Govt has been involved in public school lunches for the last 25 years ago, too. How long til folks admit they're the problem and not the solution?

How about returning PE classes to public schools? President's Physical Fitness programs? I'll tell you why they don't. Today's lil darlings are too fragile for gym class and if everybody can't win an award, nobody can in our PC-strangled school system.

83% of American children are NOT obese. Why not focus on the 17% who are and leave the rest of them alone?

I've been waiting for three days now for someone to show me a school anywhere that ever served a basic high school lunch meal greater than 850 calories.

    What!?

Can you confirm..... Michelle "la la la la" Obama has reworked the US School Lunch program??

Eueuuueuuue... What is this feeling ..... I think I just voted for Obama in my pants.

How will we see into the schools to expect the current condition of US School Lunch... Is it nation-wide? We NEED news media stories on this...............

You have a lot to say; unfortunately, much of it is entirely imaginary. For example, the reason pe classes have been cut is funding, nothing whatever to do with delicate darling.

So, it's safe to assume that you've been complaining about it the whole time?

Judging by the fact that my previous comments have gone ignored, I'm going to assume that everyone in this thread is OK with teachers pushing political messages in the classroom...

But, that would make quite a few of you hypocrites...

    Hmmmmm......

For every action, there's a reaction. Maybe by reinstating PE classes, we could save the extra few billion Michelle spent revamping the school lunch program?

Just a thought... would hate to take away any of her glory.

Not sure where you've been... but Michelle has revamped the entire US Dept of Ag Food Pyramid. School lunches followed.

Pretty good work for somebody with no formal training or previous experience as a nutritionalist, huh?

    Whatta gal.

What's to complain about? As pointed out earlier... cutting out daily PE class was prob more to blame for America's children getting fat than anything on the school lunch menu.

Guess we won't have to worry about that now... if you feed 'em only enough to survive, they won't have the energy for PE class anyway. Now video games... that's another story.

    Interesting tact.

When wrong you invent a new argument, one completely fictional, that somehow there is no PE in schools due to political correctness.

I am truly amazed at the lack of shame in your argument, how it can be so con silently and unabashedly wrong and made up.

I am not aware of physical education being taken out of schools due to political correctness, so I will afford you another opportunity to have your argument publicly displayed for the partisan fiction that it is., Not that you will, but would you care to support your claim with a citation?

I do remember this... I photoshopped it to say GMO in front of everything.

However ACTUAL FOOD is much better than a sign... About food.

Really... I am not condoning Governmnt giving out food, or taking peoples' money. However if the Government DOES give food to children, I am saying it should BE GOOD.

You keep going through these elaborate gyrations to describe what (you believe) is the problem. So how do we force everyone to eat better? What government program do you propose and what should be done to the dissidents to make them see the error of their way? How do we apply the Law of Club and Fang so that everyone eats the way you want them to, whether they want to or not?

I'm beginning to think that, like the Leftists hiding their agenda with death panels in Obamacare, you don't want to reveal the cohersion you believe would bring about Ameritopia.

You seem to not realize that human suffering is NOT a choice, but a reality brought about by bad government. If you cannot acknowledge the problem we are nowhere near a solution.

    Actually this is a myth:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-19743584

Exercise sessions have 'little impact on child activity'

Mr Metcalf suggests any initiatives to combat obesity should emphasise diet and healthy eating, rather than relying solely on physical activity to solve the problem.

Emphasizing diet and healthy eating has little impact on childhood obesity if they're throwing it in the trash. Get real... you can't force children to eat anything. But you can force them go outside and play ball or run laps.
