Homosexuality is NOT a sin against God. You are another that doesn't understand ACTION and PREFERENCE. It is the ACT of homosexuality that is a sin according to Christians, not the sexual preference of homosexuals.

Someone can be homosexual (attracted to the same sex) and NOT engage in homosexual acts and be quite welcome in Churches.

And you are incorrect, the majority in this country favor gays being allowed the legal right to marry.

The majority of people in states that voted to retain marriage as it has been for millennia, have won in every state.

 

Current law permits adult men and women to marry each other, but a few restrictions exist to protect minors,incest and close blood-relatives. Expanding the historical definition of marriage would be a SPECIAL condition, beyond the norm, not equal treatment under the law.

Current contract law allows individuals to enter into a legal agreement to have equal ownership of property, name another as a beneficiary for insurance, name anyone as their emergency contact person, etc. etc.

Simply draft a contract for whatever privileges one may believe are being denied currently,could easily be done by most competent lawyers for a small fee, even drafting a template to freely post on-line solves this problem.
