Gee, you didn’t whine, how wonderful..you just had to get therapy because you were damaged. If it was half your fault as you say, why did he go to prison? (Which I don’t believe)
I wasn’t drunk, neither was my daughter but we were alone with a guy..is that asking for it?
Interesting, it was a man who violated you, and you shun women. It I can understand men wanting to be with other men...women have always had those kind of groups ..

There were witnesses, otherwise I wouldn't have been willing to press charges but it was a plea to a lesser charge. I don't hate women, I hate the unequal laws in place that favor women and the witch hunts and other issues involving critics of feminism and SJW's. Seriously I did ask a question I was sexually assaulted I was drunk, I said no, I fought and clearly was penetrated. You claim 1 in 6 women are raped so to me its what happened to me so where did you get that number as in your source with a link its a simple question. It seems high maybe if its a global number or something but well I would like to know.

If you can't provide evidence then its not a number I should consider acceptable and I want to know what constituted rape for the survey or whatever.

Actually it’s more like one in Four .lThere are so many sources so I suggest you check them out but here’s just one. The number is increasing because women are coming forward. 92 percent of sexual assault are against women and eight percent are against men. What are these laws that you hate that favor women? I want to know how you would have felt if no one believed you? Why did you need therapy? I would think that somebody who was so traumatized by a sexual assault would understand what women go through and are not believed as you so well illustrate

How many women would be willing and able to work as trash collectors, furniture movers, roofers, laying asphalt, or as ironworkers? How many would be willing to work construction? Be honest.

In 12 years, there have been exactly TWO women who have applied for the same job I have. (I drive and load a truck.) My wife is the only woman where she works (delivering books & magazines), and was the only woman at her previous job (driving wreckers).

Firefighter, police officer, military service...all have watered-down standards for women.

Do you have any actual proof of this assertion?

A shoulder or belt holster is much better than in your handbag.

Let me educate you about sexual assaults. A man doesn’t give you a warning and time to go into your shoulder or belt holster..it’s the element of surprise. I can just see a man about to Assault me and I say “please wait a second I have to get my gun” Do you really need proof that a man is usually stronger than a woman and can usually overpower her? That’s called commonsense. What is so pathetic is that your concern is more about women carrying guns rather than men assaulting women.

Women have different skills. I guess with these water down standards these women must be doing poorly even though statistics are showing they are doing just fine

Not many women want to do that work...neither do most men I know, the problem is those who want to do that work and are capable should be allowed. There are some women that are stronger than some men but yet the man was able to apply for the job in the woman wasn’t. Thanks goodness that is changed. Obviously it has because your wife has a job that once would have been denied to her because of her gender

In other words: no. You have no proof, you have no facts, you simply trumpet your helplessness. Seriously: does situational awareness play THAT little role in your life?

Yep, we women should walk around with our hand on our guns. I really don’t think one needs proof, commonsense should suffice.. maybe too many men shouldn’t have guns?
Sorry you need proof that most rapists can overpower most women....I guess commonsense doesn’t weigh in here.

Read articles by Nancy Bittle of A.W.A.R.E.

I do not really want to argue, however I am a certified professional firearms instructor as well as basic self defense.

Martial arts training is important as it shows small size people even children can successfully defend themselves from much larger attackers.

Well, to be honest, all this "men must stop rape" as an argument for either draconic punishments and/or the desire to make sexual intercourse to a bureaucratic act that shall be negociated in a treaty before the act, like the "yes means yes"-ideas like an some campuses in the US or in Sweden now officially is very cheap. I think no one can be so dump to believe that one can end rape. Have you a two or three step plan to end murder? Armed robbery? Or more abstract than defined crimes and felonies, would you have a two step plan to end evilness?

Thats simple a utopian idea. One can have a good crime prevention, a good justice system, but that will not finally stop crimes, scale it down, but it will still happen.

As for your discussions, there are scenarios in which carrying a gun can give you the upper hand, there are some in which they dont. As a rough guide one says within a seven metres distance a knife is the far more efficient weapon than a gun. So I agree carrying a gun will not solve the problem, it could prevent some very few rape cases/scenarios.

Of course we cannot stop all crime, no one is saying that. Guns have killed more non-criminals then criminals.
