    Which is exactly why the TEAM should stay the hell out of politics.... Individually, they can do what they want, but when the represent the US TEAM, they need to keep it about America, and not choose sides.

    Fail!

    BTW, I would have felt this way if they would have supported Obama or Clinton as a TEAM as well...

    If all the members of the screen actors guild selection committee stood beside Bernie Sanders it would be comparable. If Barbara Streisand does it as an individual performer it is not.

    So Bernie is a "Russian plant" confirmed? This is ridiculous. People should be allowed to associate with whoever, whether in a group or individually. In the fight to keep America, America it's actually Liberals giving up our freedoms and liberties without so much of a whimper.

    Well, Steve has a point. You just started a thread regarding Clint Eastwood and his not supporting Trump. You didn't appear to have a problem there. But this team appears at a Trump rally and they're dead to you. And arguably Clint is more famous than these guys.

    Why in the world should an American Olympic team have to defend their decision to attend a rally by the President of the United States anyway?

    Let's put it this way: How many actors at the Oscar's praised Trump compared to how many condemned him? I'd say that's about the same ratio that will vote for Trump vs. Sanders come election day. And certainly how many will endorse each of them in the end.

    It's a normal occurrence for sports figures to appear with whatever president is in office. It's been going on for hundreds of years. Do you think that every team member of every team has agreed with every president that they have visited the president in the last 200 some years? Way to polarize. I bet you blame the right for the polarization.

    I am known for my smoked steaks. I take NY strips and cold smoke them for about 6 hours then freeze them for later. Sometimes I give them for gifts to friends. Usually it isn't for any occasion but just because I want to share. I have liberal friends that I have shared steaks with. Not once has any of those liberal friends declined a steak because I was a conservative. They are more gracious than that. I have no idea what kind of world you live in but I hope it isn't as sad as it looks from the outside.

    And the point Steve and you don't seem to get is it's a matter of individuals vs groups, especially a group that represented America at one time.

    Individuals can do what they want... If individual US TEAM members wanted to be at a Trump rally as individuals, go for it... I would be disappointed, but I expect out of 23, some of them would lean hard right...

    Doing it while "representing" the "US Miracle on Ice TEAM" during an anniversary gathering is unacceptable... to me anyway....
