<<MOD WARNING>>Should high school students walk out and shut system down until meaningful gun reform

The students and their allies will be out of school on the National Protest day, and now there is talk of a national general strike on that day.

 

In WW II, the draft was initially for men 21-36 years old. I'm not sure if people under 21 should be in the military.

 

Can you name even one PRACTICAL use of the controversial deadly assault rifles that doesn't involve mass murder???

People have a right under the First Amendment to peacefully protest. It would be a great lesson under the Constitution for the students to undertake. Of course the schools might actions against the protesters, such as suspension or expulsion, but it will teach the protesters that sometimes you have to sacrifice for what you believe in. I think it's a great lesson all around.

 

What makes you think that you have improved?

I was in high school in the era of Vietnam and the draft. One thing high-school kids do understand is when their lives are put in jeopardy due to the stupidity of lawmakers.

 

The students can walk without much fear of the administrations.

The parents will vote the school boards out.

 

Ya never know when the FBI/DoJ/dems might be trying to remove a duly elected president without evidence.

I would suggest that the first step in even talking about gun control is to start prosecuting bureaucrats for their crimes beginning with Comey, Rice, Yates, Clinton, etc.

1) High School students aren't college students. Like the looters in Ferguson, many may "walk out", but many would have been playing hooky anyway. Let them ruin their chances of an education pissing up a rope. When they come back, make their parents pay for the difference the taxpayers had to pay over this "walk out".
