That literally has absolutely NOTHING to do with whether YOUR statement was racist or not.

YOU judged someone based on skin color alone (and literally nothing else). That is the very definition of racism.

But of course you can't be racist right?

He's a story for you. This White waiter was serving this wealthy Black dude in the dining room of this exclusive golf resort. I think this Black dude was a former president or something. Anyway this rich Black dude was with his ANGRY Black wife and this fat Black woman dripping with diamond rings -- I think she once had her own television talk show or something -- and anyway the three of them were saying the worst, most racist (*)(*)(*)(*) anyone in the history of the entire world has ever heard. The waiter was White, and he was a fantastic waiter. That man had to serve racist former president.

The waiter got back at them though, because he spat in their coffees before serving them. Stuff happens. It's called life.

Because White. It's sort of like magic. I think it's something in the skin tone that does it. All of a sudden all this manna simply falls from heaven.

I'm white. I feel privileged. Being born a white male in America is the equivalent of hitting the lottery!:clapping:

LOL I guess. I suppose I would be OK with everyone just calling them (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s instead of racists

What? (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s can't be racists or simply decent people?

The waiter should have served them some pie.

Here is what amuses me most.

Democrats, whom I do not call liberal, nor do I plan to do so until a person proves to me that their mad dash to create regulations, new laws, assundry things government uses to manage humans, etc. are rejected by liberals, can take the credit for essentially building fences, then complaining you did not pay for their fence.

Where is that fence? On their land? Or on your land? And who are they barring?

Where the rich have no fences, they have huge homes so far from the road, they don't need a fence. They are out of sight to the public.

I have had many days where I could whip out a spare ten grand lying about in cash and head to the store. I never looked around to locate who earned that money for me. I could find out in the mirror.

All whites should have privilege if there be white privilege. But a lot of whites are common bums in the street trying to get one more drink.

As an aside, here in CA, it is typical that the contractor who sells new homes includes a fence. And we appraisers call them "good neighbor fences." So if your home is appraised and you see that, this is behind that. (since I no longer have the federal mandated appraisers license, I no longer allege I am still an appraiser)

First of all apartheid should be imposed,
but that is way too impossible to pass through congress nowadays.
So I guess the increase in salary ceilings and other related benefits are for everyone.

You know, at my age, I happen to recall much of our history. What I did not live, I studied.

This is true. I and my daughter, when she was still a teen, loved to go into the Sierras where we camped out. She ended up married to a cop and he loves the great outdoors as well.

We were not too far from Donner pass in CA where those hoping to settle in CA ended up dying. We noted on the rocks were carved out statements by various people who followed them.

Me and this Japanese guy, got to talking for maybe ten minutes. A dear high school friend of mine was held prisoner by FDR in a POW camp though he was an American citizen.

She is about 50 now and I can't recollect the entirety of our discussion but me and this hiker talked over discrimination and slavery.

If you got locked up by FDR I think you know a thing about slavery.

I remarked to him how the Japanese had managed to overcome the very hostile America my pal was put into a prison for. Americans flat hated the Japanese.

Think if you will to what you see today over the Muslims, then multiply by 5 times.

Americans back then were not one bit bashful over race. I grew up in the era where if you did not say the n word, you were a strange person. Blacks said it. Everybody said it. President Johnson said it.

So back to this hiker and me talking.

He said that collectively, the Japanese decided, and my buddy in San Diego confirmed to me, they got rid of that animosity and decided to get to work showing they are great citizens. I have yet to meet in person a Japanese on the mainland who is not a republican.

He said if blacks want to fix their problems, they can and should. I can't solve their problems. I am not the one with the super bad attitude.

You know who i admire who is black?

    Gosh of public figures
What about Justice Thomas? He black enough for you? Then Sowell and Walter Williams, both famous authors. Do I admire that drug dealer that is packing heat who will kill you for looking at him outa da side of yo eye?

    Give me a break.

Rick who can't be more black no matter if you put shoe polish on him is a client. We have known each other well since around 1981. Rich's younger brother used to chase Marcus Allen and get a paycheck for doing so, played in a superbowl. Lost big time.

Rick listened to me explain discrimination to him. I did not really know if he would discuss it or hit me.

Rick is a special kind of guy. He listened.

He never had thought it might be natural to nature. I had put thought into this and came up with the idea that nature did it to all of us. How? Experiences. But when we got done, I believe he left persuaded I just might be correct. Rick was a graduate of college and never seemed a bit bigoted to me.

Racism is a defense mechanism. We have filters that have saved humans over the epochs.

    Anybody disagree?

Is there white privilege? I can't quite rule it out but do you think Tiger Woods has privilege?

Depending on the setting and the crowd size, that may well be a very real perception. It is not rare for white to, in order not to look racist, entering into a setting with many blacks despite danger signs - and ending up getting violently assaulted.

I do agree there is socioeconomic status privilege, but in a sense to some degree that is inherent to capitalism. It depends how far it is taken. A black person can now join the country club, but probably a poor person can't - even if could scrap up the fees and costs. Police are FAR more likely to pull over an old banged up car than a new expensive one - but then there is some rationale for doing so too.

LBJ made living on welfare a career choice specifically saying it was for blacks (actually he said for "n.ggers"). Public housing is designed around keeping minorities in their ghettos. Try to find public housing in lower Manhattan.

Well go learn a little more history. Japanese were not taken prisoner nor held as prisoners. They was a relocation from various parts of the west coast and relocation camps were set up in the interior. The Japanese were free to move further from the coast all the way to the east coast if they so choose to do. Many did not and wanted to stay in the camps until the relocations were over.

You know, I never understood why 175 for a 6'2" man was the ideal weight. That's what I was in High School and I was a damn bean pole. 205 to 225 is an ideal weight if you're 6'2" imo.

You're absolutely right, they have. Especially this century. Yet some of them can't stop crying about everyone else.

So true... Many of our ancestors were forced off their land or killed (Native Americans), or used and abused as slaves (Irish). WhereTF are my reparations? Am I not important because my ancestors weren't black? Where's my privilege?

Just ask Elizabeth Warren about white privilege, she had to pretend to be an Indian to get ahead...

It does exist, just not in the form some would have you believe. White privilege is what you see at protests etc - and wherever you see resistance to free speech. When you're so accustomed to being 'the boss', you think you can start dictating to poor brown folk about how they should feel. The greatest privilege seen when a white person tells a brown person that they self-hate if they choose their own path. Basically, that's saying that if you don't agree 100% with my terms for your existence, then you hate yourself.

Some good examples of recent overt displays of white privilege: Merryl Streep, and the Womens' marches. The latter being composed almost entirely of white middle class women. That's privilege on parade.
