What exactly is our government or mass media not telling us about Russian aggression against Ukraine? I think the possibility of nuclear exchange for our involvement is actually over exaggerated, not minimized.

There is no such thing as truthful news anymore. Anything you term as "News" is that corporations propaganda and opinion from whomever they have parroting the news to you.

Sadly enough 2019 was our last great year we had economically.

It was the last year we had before Covid came along and upset things, but there is no reason to imagine that the US economy is somehow collapsing. It's the usual fear mongering nonsense from our foreign adversaries and from domestic purveyors of misinformation aimed at harming Democratic administrations in particular. I remember how the economy was allegedly about to collapse during Obama's terms as well.

All that military aid to Ukraine and popularization of Javelins and Stingers would give us a nice boost. MIC has a lot of bad rep, but those are well paid jobs that demand high quality employees. Whether Russians like it or not, their actions give the US economy a significant boost (which is ironic because their economy rapidly deflates), as we purge our old inventories and are generating purchase orders for replenishments.
Also, every small country will want to have thousands of Javelins and Stingers, as Ukraine is demonstrating that those weapons, combined with skill and determination, can stop an invasion by a top military.

If there was genuinely free and fair competition, few would pay for most of what MIC produces. For most of the weapons and platforms MIC produces, there is an equivalent or near equivalent produced by others, including Iran, at a small fraction of the price. But MIC will, of course, try to milk the Ukraine conflict with marketing narratives about its products (and the equivalent of negative adds for its competitors) which have little to do with what is produced by MIC relative to its cost. The closest comparison to MIC is America's pharmaceutical and health care industry, which (despite being top class if you can afford its products) is also abysmal relative to just how much is spent for its products and services.

Wrong. When inflation has risen faster than at any other time in history while the current adminstration act like it is normal and a good thing, that is a recipe for disaster.

Except that is not what is happening. The administration is not doing that at all, and the Fed Chairman is taking it seriously.

Is that what you think is the only danger from this little war?

If so, I rest my case.

It's happening everywhere in the West, too. Media (no doubt guided by Govts and Corps) are playing down the danger dramatically. It's ****ing reprehensible.

They're wholly consumed with keeping trade afloat until the very last minute. And the proles are buying it .. happily. If Govt is basically telling them all is well, they can sign off from concern and carry on buying non-essentials and services.

We're all being lied to, my friend. The least trustworthy source of information in March 2022, is Western Media and Govts. They've become the monsters of manipulation we normally associate with other times and other places.

Are genuinely saying you think the global times are the same now, as during Obama's terms?

Far out .. you've got it bad. What in hell are you reading? Or rather, NOT reading?
