Did CrowdStrike have proof that Russia hacked the DNC?

Yes, and this is also supported by the U.S. Intelligence community and independent Congressional reports.

Following a comprehensive investigation that CrowdStrike detailed publicly, the company concluded in May 2016 that two separate Russian intelligence-affiliated adversaries breached the DNC network.

To reference, CrowdStrike’s account of their DNC investigation, published on June 14, 2016, “CrowdStrike Services Inc., our Incident Response group, was called by the Democratic National Committee (DNC), the formal governing body for the US Democratic Party, to respond to a suspected breach. We deployed our IR team and technology and immediately identified two sophisticated adversaries on the network – COZY BEAR and FANCY BEAR…. At DNC, COZY BEAR intrusion has been identified going back to summer of 2015, while FANCY BEAR separately breached the network in April 2016.”

This conclusion has most recently been supported by the Senate Intelligence Committee in April 2020 issuing a report [intelligence.senate.gov] validating the previous conclusions of the Intelligence community, published on January 6, 2017, that Russia was behind the DNC data breach.

The Senate report states on page 48:

“The Committee found that specific intelligence as well as open source assessments support the assessment that President Putin approved and directed aspects of this influence campaign.”

Furthermore, in his testimony in front of the House Intelligence Committee, Shawn Henry stated the following with regards to CrowdStrike’s degree of confidence that the intrusion activity can be attributed to Russia, cited from page 24:

    1. HENRY: We said that we had a high degree of confidence it was the Russian Government. And our analysts that looked at it and that had looked at these types of attacks before, many different types of attacks similar to this in different environments, certain tools that were used, certain methods by which they were moving in the environment, and looking at the types of data that was being targeted, that it was consistent with a nation-state adversary and associated with Russian intelligence.
Have any other organizations concluded that Russia was behind the DNC hack?

Yes. CrowdStrike’s conclusion that Russia was behind the DNC hack is supported by the U.S. Intelligence community and also by independent Congressional reports. Most recently, the Senate Intelligence Committee released a report in April 2020 that validated the previous conclusions of the Intelligence Community Assessment, published on January 6, 2017, all concluding that Russia was behind the DNC data breach.

U.S. intel report identifies Russians who gave emails to WikiLeaks -officials

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The CIA has identified Russian officials who fed material hacked from the Democratic National Committee and party leaders to WikiLeaks at the direction of Russian President Vladimir Putin through third parties, according to a new U.S. intelligence report, senior U.S. officials said on Thursday.

.Crowdstrike did not conclude that the Russians did the Hack It may well have been the Russians who gave emails to wiki .. that doesn't mean they did the Hack. and this is nonsense anyway as Assange said it was not the Russians who gave him the information.

Trump took Putin's word over our intel agencies about Russian meddling, now you're taking Assange's word about Russian hacking. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Check the date of origination. It's 3/29/18. Someone added a comment recently so the discussion resumed. Go fish.

Unfortunately, the lies The Following still believe in, despite endless refutation, are still relevant. If not for those lies Trump would have virtually no support.

Hidden Over 2 Years: Dem Cyber-Firm's Sworn Testimony It Had No Proof of Russian Hack of DNC

CrowdStrike, the private cyber-security firm that first accused Russia of hacking Democratic Party emails and served as a critical source for U.S. intelligence officials in the years-long Trump-Russia probe, acknowledged to Congress more than two years ago that it had no concrete evidence that Russian hackers stole emails from the Democratic National Committee’s server.

CrowdStrike President Shawn Henry's admission under oath, in a recently declassified December 2017 interview before the House Intelligence Committee, raises new questions about whether Special Counsel Robert Mueller, intelligence officials and Democrats misled the public. The allegation that Russia stole Democratic Party emails from Hillary Clinton, John Podesta and others and then passed them to WikiLeaks helped trigger the FBI's probe into now debunked claims of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia to steal the 2016 election. The CrowdStrike admissions were released just two months after the Justice Department retreated from its its other central claim that Russia meddled in the 2016 election when it dropped charges against Russian troll farms it said had been trying to get Trump elected.
    https://www.realclearinvestigations...d_no_proof_of_russian_hack_of_dnc_123596.html

No one knows who was behind it and certainly nothing to tie it to Trump or his campaign. And of course the questions remain why didn't the DNC cooperate with the FBI but instead refused and why didn't the FBI demand the access so they could investigate.

Trump seemed to know who was behind it since he publicly asked Russia for help finding Hillary's e-mails. Our intel agencies say they know who was behind it. They also say Russia gave the hacked material to Wikileaks. Mueller says he knows who was behind it. The SIC say it knows who was behind it. Crowdstrike and multiple other cyber-security firms say they know who is behind it.
Face it, it was Russia as part of their extensive efforts to help Trump. But hey, I get that you will never accept the truth.

Oh geez you site a joke? And the joke wasn't even for Russia to hack anything it was for them to ASSIST the FBI which was in possession of them they weren't even online, in trying to recover them, the ones Hillary had tried to erase and destroy, since the FBI was saying they couldn't.

THAT'S the best you got. Mueller has no idea who was behind it and it was Mueller and his $40 milllion 14 prosecutors and 40 FBI agents who could not discover that it was the Clinton campaign and DNC behind the whole made up nonsense and fake data.

Crowdstrike did the analysis all others cite them and the President of Crowdstrike testified UNDER OATH they could not say it was Russia.

So, you admit the FBI didn't do any independent investigating on their own?:roflol:
Then you must also admit the title of the thread you used was false? https://apnews.com/article/archive-fact-checking-7657130451

The FBI reviewed Crowdstrike's work. The FBI didn't do any independent investigation of their own. Furthermore, the FBI couldn't do any independent investigation of their own 'cause the DNC wouldn't let them.

Newsflash. An emoji does not change the fact that CrowdStrike provided forensic evidence and analysis for the FBI to review during its investigation into a 2016 hack of DNC emails.

The FBI never took physical hold of the DNC’s computer system. Instead, it reviewed a wide range of computer forensic evidence provided by CrowdStrike, which is common practice in such investigations.

“With regards to our investigation of the DNC hack in 2016, we provided all forensic evidence and analysis to the FBI,” the firm said in an emailed statement to The Associated Press. “As we’ve stated before, we stand by our findings and conclusions that have been fully supported by the US intelligence community.”

Former FBI Director James Comey also told Congress in 2017 that CrowdStrike “ultimately shared with us their forensics from their review of the system.” That’s not unusual, said Eugene H. Spafford, a professor of computer science at the Center for Education and Research in Information Security at Purdue University.

Such reviews are a comprehensive copy of what is on the machine at the time and include a replica of saved messages, network connections and active accounts. “Just making a verified, hardware-level copy of all the bits, all the data that’s stored on the system is sufficient for almost all investigations that would have to be conducted,” said Spafford, who has assisted the FBI in cases.

It’s “generally unnecessary” for law enforcement to physically confiscate a computer during an investigation, especially ones involving a business or organization because they need the computer systems to keep operations going, Spafford added.

None of your bolding, italicizing or changing of colors of your text changes the fact that the only source on the alleged DNC hack came from Crowdstrike...A company, incidentally, based in Ukraine owned by Ukranian oligarchs. It would be very bad if Russia gained access to the Crowdstrike report on the DNC hack, no? Why do you suppose, for example, so many in politics and gov't are adamant about saving the non-democratic gov't of Ukraine?? Hum?? I smell a real nasty coverup right under our noses.

Which right wing liar got you to believe that lie? Trump? Breitbart? Faux?

Crowdstrike is a publicly owned company listed on the NASDAQ and based in TX. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/CRWD/profile?p=CRWD

    Beyond Crowdstrike
It is true, that the FBI depended on Crowdstrike’s analysis for some of the technical details. But, the attribution of the hack to Russia does not rest solely on CrowdStrike’s findings.

Several other cybersecurity firms, including Fidelis, FireEye, SecureWorks, and ThreatConnect have independently validated CrowdStike’s conclusions or surfaced additional evidence linking Russia to the DNC hacks.

The FBI also independently detected Russian attacks on the DNC as far back as September of 2015. That’s when the FBI notified a DNC IT staffer that hackers suspected to be associated with Russian intelligence services had infiltrated their computer systems. Later, the FBI alerted the DNC that a computer on their network was “phoning home” to Russia. (Some have raised the question of how the FBI could have known this. It is likely that the attacks were detected at the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) and then relayed to the FBI.)

Here's more on the potential collusion involved with the Crowdstrike report.
Julian Assange & Russia Collusion: Why Not Charge Him? | National Review

One of the first assertations of the article in the link (dated in 2019) states the US could've (but hadn't) proven a Russian influence in the alleged hack of DNC emails.
Another assertation of the linked article is that Wikileaks was trying to get Bernie Sanders to be the presidential hopeful for the dem party in 2016, er, Wikileaks was trying to give Trump a better chance of being elected since Wiki didn't think there was much chance of Trump beating Hillary.

Side note: I guess, whether it be 2016 or 2020, the dem party really doesn't want Bernie as presidential hopeful. Maybe, this part of the alleged hacked emails of 2016 is what the DNC doesn't want to get out to the public?

EDIT: And, yes, the assertation that Russia hacked the DNC emails rests solely on Crowdstrike.

Gee, what fun. I suppose you could go end indefinitely making up all sorts of fatuous scenarios to deflect from what is known. Russia hacked the DNC.

I followed the facts which lead me to an unequivocal, irrefutable conclusion.

How the Russians hacked the DNC and passed its emails to WikiLeaks

On a late July day in 2016, Donald Trump, the GOP nominee for president, stood at a lectern in Florida, next to an American flag, and urged a U.S. adversary to become involved in the election campaign and find tens of thousands of emails wiped from the server of his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton. “Russia, if you’re listening,” he said at a news conference at one of his resorts, “I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.”

That same day, July 27, several Russian government hackers launched an attack against the email accounts of staffers in Clinton’s personal office, according to a sweeping indictment Friday by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III. At or around the same time, the hackers also targeted 76 email addresses used by the Clinton campaign, investigators said.

The remarkable timing of the Russian attempt on Clinton’s servers is just one of the new details revealed in the indictment of 12 Russian military intelligence officers, who Mueller alleges hacked the email accounts and computers of Democratic officials and organizations in an audacious effort to influence the U.S. election.

Although the broad outlines of the hacking and influence campaign have been widely reported, the indictment describes for the first time the identities, techniques and tactics of the operation to disrupt American democracy.

Your post is interesting..... I see the liberals conflate these two different things all the time...
Please explain how you can connect Hillary's emails to Crowdstrike....
Please explain how you can connect Hillary's emails to Trump...

You'd better read that link I provided for you again.
    https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/04/why-isnt-assange-charged-with-collusion-with-russia/

Read paragraph 8 of that link which begins with the sentence which begins with
    "Don't get me wrong...".

The bolded and in larger than normal case line in your post I quoted is misinformation.

We don't know who hacked the DNC emails. For all we know, the DNC could've hacked the DNC emails.

Not only do we know it was Russia that did it, we know which Russians did it.

The 11-count, 29-page indictment describes in granular detail a carefully planned and executed attack on the information security of Democrats, as Russian government hackers implanted hundreds of malware files on Democrats’ computer systems to steal information. The hackers then laundered the pilfered material through fake personas called DC Leaks and Guccifer 2.0, as well as others, to try to influence voters.

That's a 4 year old indictment. Show us the convictions.

Just as the Alfa Bank/Trump Towers false claims relied on spoofed data,

Claim Russians Hacked The DNC Could Have Relied On ‘Spoofed’ Data.

    Spoofed = Faked.

Cover Up. Dirty Bob Mueller - Never Indicted Sussman.
"CrowdStrike’s approach to investigating computer intrusions relied on the use of easily “spoofed/impersonated” signals of traffic."

The same law firm that Hillary used to launder the payments for the Dossier and for Sussman to pass off false data to the FBI, are also the same folks that recruited Crowdstrike.

"In June 2016, about one month before WikiLeaks released a trove of internal communiques revealing top DNC officials plotted to destroy Bernie Sanders’ presidential ambitions in favor of their preferred candidate, Hillary Clinton, the DNC publicly confirmed that its server had been hacked. The DNC maintained that the private security firm it had hired to investigate the hack, CrowdStrike, had concluded two Russian military intelligence groups, branded Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear, bore responsibility for the intrusions."

These emails proved that Hillary and the DNC engaged in a conspiracy to rob Bernie Sanders of the DNC nomination.

Once under oath, CrowdStrike President Shawn Henry finally admitted in sworn December 2017 testimony that “there was no ‘concrete evidence’ that the emails were stolen electronically,” later raised more “questions about whether Special Counsel Robert Mueller, intelligence officials and Democrats misled the public” about the hack."

Give the immense amount of data that was stolen, thumb drives and local access were always theories on the table, and at the same time, Debra Blabbermouth Schultz' amazing interactions with the Pakistani family that was handling the DNC servers was strange as hell.

"Concerns over CrowdStrike’s analysis reemerged after Special Counsel John Durham indicted former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann for allegedly lying to FBI General Counsel James Baker. That indictment and other documents filed in the Sussmann criminal case revealed that cyber-security experts assisted tech executive Rodney Joffe in crafting deceptive data and whitepapers to create the false appearance of a secret communication network between Trump and the Russian-based Alfa Bank. Sussmann then fed this “intel” to the CIA and FBI."

"Sussmann also provided the CIA with deceptively cherry-picked data to suggest a connection between Trump or his transition team and Russians, using cyber-tracking of a Russian Yota cell phone. To compile both the Alfa Bank and Yota phone hoaxes, according to the indictment, Joffe exploited proprietary information he had access to because of his positions in various tech companies. More troubling still was the revelation that Joffe used sensitive data from the Executive Office of the President in his attempt to frame Trump." Hillary Operatives Hacked The WH in an attempt to drive the opponent who defeated Hillary, from office.

"Durham’s team asked Georgia Tech cybersecurity expert Manos Antonakakis “point blank” whether the Department of Defense’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DAPRA) “should be instructing you to investigate the origins of a hacker (Guccifer_2.0) that hacked a political entity (DNC).”

"Some of those claims" of a DNC hack "have been confirmed to be disinformation efforts by operatives from the Democrat campaign.”

"Given what we know now about the Steele dossier and Alfa Bank and Yota cell phone hoaxes, as well as the FISA abuse by the Crossfire Hurricane team, taking the word of the intelligence community no longer suffices. It’s now: Show me the evidence, who gave you the evidence, and that person’s political affiliation. It is the intelligence agencies and those in the cybersecurity world who own that reality — as well as Hillary Clinton and the media."

We didn't destroy their credibility, they did.

This is from the Crowdstrike investigation and only the Crowdstike investigation that no one (not even the FBI or Mueller, for examples) were able to participate in.
