as in the amount of deaths or the mortality rate?

because the mortality rate has been on the decline
now the amount of deaths will never decrease unless mistakes were made

We discussed the difference between an end-of-life nursing home and a senior retirement center, to jog your short-term memory.

That's why not many people, including seniors, died on the Diamond Princess. Out of 3711 passengers and crew members, 700 were infected, and 7 died. That's an infection rate of 19%, a CFR of 1.0%, and a crude mortality rate of 0.19%.

People who are close to death, as are those in convalescent nursing homes, have burned-out immune systems and are naturally going to have higher infection and death rates, than are seniors who are healthy enough to go on a cruise.

Your Covidiot-in-Chief's death toll marches on even while his supporters blindly believe that he is their "god-emperor" and will "save them" from the virus.

Most of the deaths of old people from the virus were not in convalescent nursing homes

Only a "staggering share"...estimated at over 50% as we are just now getting the numbers reported.

How many "Covid" seniors at end-of-days are being nursed and cared for by in-home care providers? We'll probably never get those stats.

And when it is your loved one?

Who among your close circle are you willing to lose because the way this thing is heading everyone will have lost someone

    Turn it around

We always knew this thing would hit nursing homes HARD but it also means that 50% of cases were still active members of society

The first problem is you’re checking the CDC website. Second problem, and this is more broadly speaking, is whenever we reopen, yes there will be a spike in cases. That’s a given. But as we have learned, we cannot take a second lockdown like we have taken a first lockdown economically unless we want the depression to get worse. Plus it will cause a mental health epidemic in of itself like what’s already happening with the spike in suicides.

Reopen the country, regardless of the consequences.

You don't know about the other 50%. How many were bedridden at home, with a hospice nurse or family taking care of them? We'll never know those stats. We do know that the vast majority of deaths are in the over-80 age range with preexisting chronic health issues.

If you are diagnosed with early-stage health issues, Covid is unlikely to kill you. If you are at end-stage of chronic disease, Covid (and/or your decades-long battle with "other disease") is likely to kill you.

Medical science extended our life expectancy from 69 to 79 over the last 60 years. For many people, that 10-year addition of quantity-of-life does not come without some level of deterioration in health and quality-of-life.

Yeah, Fredo had such a "near death" case of the virus that he and his brother are making a joke out of it.

What's obvious is that Trump wasn't going to lock out Europe either.

We're talking about Trump, who says that 100,000 deaths is a great success.

That's another argument Trump could use to take the blame off himself.

"You know, a lot of the 100,000 victims of the virus would have died anyway."

    With that, his re-election's guaranteed.

He doesn't need to make a statement like that. As we get more details about who the virus targets and kills, the facts become obvious.

Maybe he should say that black people who die from Covid aren't really black...just to counter to Biden's comments the other day about black voters. You know, for electability purposes.

    Not really.

When estimates in March predicted more than 125,000 deaths for THE WHOLE YEAR 2020, the Trumpsters ridiculed the scientists.

    Doom and Groom you said.

We're at 100,000 deaths in three months...

The chances of Trump not paying a political price for this tragedy are zero percent.

All you brainwashed optimists are the same, with your transcontinental railroads and golden gate bridges. What, you think these things wouldn't build themselves...given time? ;-)
