One thing the major networks do have in common is, they are owned by corporations trying to influence politics and society. It's like they were frustrated since they began their research into mind control in the 1930's and could never covertly attain their goals and now they are overtly trying to influence outcomes of choices...One of the reason as to why I never subscribe to their publications or broadcasts...Terrible thing though I wasted several years at college being a Film and TV production pitchman yet decided to stop selling myself short and dropped out of their rat race for the control of people's minds..

Those same slaves were taken by other black African slave owners and then sold to Europeans. Why aren't you enraged today with all the Africans who are enslaved today?

 

It’s not about single fathers. It’s about single mothers with kids and absentee fathers because who needs a dad when the govt will pay you? It’s led to the fairly catastrophic breakdown of African American families specifically.

Slavery likely would have never ended, or gone on another 100 years, if it wasn't for Christian Abolitionist movements.

 

When people scream "Whitey!" there is no other distinction made. We are all lumped in together. Did you just now form an opinion on race relations in America? I've formed mine from watching what's going on around me for more than 5 decades. Open your eyes, get out of the house, go see reality for yourself.

Not what I said, I said white Europeans ended the slave trade, or more specifically white evangelical Christians like William Wilberforce, against the objections of people like Lord Melbourne, who complained of people injecting their religious convictions into politics.

Social programs promoting the destruction of the family unit that is resulting in so many growing up without fathers and making so many single mothers dependent on government handouts are not doing anyone favors.

 

Africa was selling slaves, and the colonies wanted cheap labor. The place that was selling happened to be filled with black people. I'm sure they would have settled for Chinese if it would have been economical to do so. Hell, the chinese were slaves building railroads and labor out west as far as Ive heard.
And the Irish were slaves. Calling them "indentured servants" did not lessen their suffering. I love how you dismiss their suffering. Your hate for what I am guessing is your own race runs deep apparently.

That was made thousands of years ago by people who had no idea that white people even existed.

Not that it justifies you dismissing any care about the history of slavery vs the Civil War. Ironically they are extremely related.
