I do agree, we were still a Christianity theocracy back then, not a secular nation... but racism did continue on for some time, many people back them thought they had a God given right to own slaves

 

the north freed the slaves from southern Conservatives.. but yes, those southern conservatives called themselves Democrats at the time, now they belong to the Republican party

 

Texas was a Democrat State that was part of the Confederacy. They were defeated and occupied by The Republicans on June 19, 1865; the date is now commemorated as the holiday Juneteenth, recognizing the official emancipation of slaves in the state.

 

This is what liberals do.

If there are no racist incidents, they’ll fabricate one.

If history doesn’t help them advance their agenda, they’ll revise it.
