I figured this might boil down to total lack of respect for women.

Still, this whole "biology is soooo unfair" argument just doesn't make sense to me.

I'd be in favor of more education oriented to ensuring that human procreation, societal issues and the law are better understood at a young age.

It just might lead to better communication and more responsible behavior.

Hey - another way would could work together toward a lower abortion rate!

    Once more for good luck:

Are women 100% responsible for what happens to their bodies? Yes or no? Since you repeatedly answered "YES" (and most emphatically, I might add) when asked this question, you have contradicted YOURSELF by suggesting that men also have responsibility over women's bodies. That cannot be possible, if women are 100% responsible, can it?

There is nothing clearer than the above. You are simply trying to have your cake, and eat it. You only want women to have full responsibility for themselves when it's convenient. When it isn't convenient, you want men to take her autonomy. So it's not at all about your support of female autonomy - given your readiness to repossess female power at the least provocation.

No, YOU are the one saying men have some sort of power over this decision. I'm the one saying they absolutely DO NOT.

I NEVER said men have responsibility over a woman's body....Where TF do you get such crap!...and why?

You still haven't made a point, you just blab incoherently on in circles...

Uh, are you aware that women can't make themselves pregnant? You aren't aware of that...OK...well, except for artificial insemination women get pregnant by men.....did I type that slowly enough for you to understand it??

NO, they have responsibility all the time and I have never stated anything different but you have stated that men who impregnate women own the woman....a very antiquated/backwards attitude..

WTF are you talking about???:roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol: You sure are worked up about something :) :) :)

What an incoherent mess of nonsensical gobbledygoop[/QUOTE]

YOU have NEVER shown PROOF that I suggested men also have responsibility over women's bodies.

That's OK, when other posters see that, you lose any credibility you may have had :)

Well, ya, anyone who wants to take away women's right to their own bodies certainly has no respect for women ….or law...or what this country stands for or human rights...

What's pathetic is the women who have no respect for women...

Oh come on, everyone has to make a sacrifice for the greater good. That's especially true in a borderline socialist country like Norway.

You realize that you can very easily harm yourself or someone else with aspirin and that requires no prescription, right?

    What? No reply??:)

    Here's the sequence:

    """kazenatsu said:
I'm glad to see pro-choicers admit abortion harms women.""""

    FoxHastings: Where?...

OK, show where a pro-choicer admitted abortion harms women....

She WAS harmed! She had her fetus removed against her wishes....WTF?

GIVING her the pill is ASSAULT.

I've made it very clear, and you're running from it now that your contradiction has been spotlighted.

You have repeatedly said women have SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL DECISIONS PERTAINING TO THEIR OWN BODY. You then CONTRADICT that (when convenient) by saying Men SOMETIMES have responsibility for what happens to her body. A man cannot decide she will have unprotected sex, unless he is raping. SHE alone makes that decision. Because SHE alone has sole responsibility.

There is nothing in that to suggest that you're even remotely serious about female autonomy. You are apparently more interested in 'protecting' women from full responsibility.

EXCEPT I never said that....and YOU insisting I did does NOT make it true especially since you have NEVER SHOWN PROOF

Yes, if a man harms a woman he is responsible for the HARM.

OH WOW, you got ONE right!!!!

Well, not to YOU and that's of so little consequence it's laughable :).

You have never explained how I'm allegedly doing that....

    1) you say women have SOLE and 100% autonomy and responsibility for whatever happens to their own body.

    2) you then say that men also have that responsibility over what a woman does with her body.(in attempting to attribute responsibility to him, for her decisions)

    THAT IS A CONTRADICTION.

If you are attributing responsibility to men - for anything which happens to her body - then you are denying female autonomy.

You cannot say that women have SOLE responsibility, then turn around and say 'but only sometimes'. You are either FOR female autonomy, or you are not. It appears you are not.

The point is to demonstrate that accepting only conditional female autonomy (as you do, in denying women their sole responsibility for decisions, by giving some of it to men), is not accepting autonomy at all. If you cannot see that, there is no help for you.

This is really getting boring and borders on harassment....you keep saying things about me with NO PROOF.

It appears you like to argue with no facts, attribute words to posters who said no such thing and can NEVER provide proof of ANYTHING...TROLL MUCH ?

WHERE TF do I """ in denying women their sole responsibility for decisions, by giving some of it to men""" ??

WTF responsibility do you THINK I give to men that is really a woman's' responsibility.

YOU HAVE NEVER STATED WHAT THAT IS...

    :) I bet you don't know :)

Once again, since you keep asking:

Either a woman has SOLE responsibility for all decisions pertaining to what happens to and with her body, or she does not.

You are saying she does not, since when convenient, you attribute part of that decision making to men. Therefore, you are not a believer in female autonomy. It's VERY VERY SIMPLE.

I, OTOH, believe in absolute female autonomy. Men have no power or responsibility in regards to what happens to her body. Not ever. He cannot make her have unprotected sex (an act which even a 10 year old knows can lead to pregnancy), unless he rapes her. Only SHE can make that decision. You don't agree with that, and believe that men have some responsibility for her decision to expose herself to an unwanted pregnancy. Therefore you either think that all men are rapists, or you think women can't make decisions relating to their own body.

It really doesn't matter how many times you shriek "show me the proof!", at this point. Your contradictory position has been repeatedly exposed. It might be better and more productive to spend some time thinking through why you only allow women conditional autonomy. Why you feel the need to 'protect' women from sole responsibility for themselves.

BUT YOU HAVE NEVER EVER GIVEN AN EXAMPLE OF THAT NOR PROOF I SAID THAT.

    .

So you think making unproven, unfounded statements about another poster helps you 'win" an argument.

I can understand your frustration since you haven't ever won any argument so have to make up stuff that about other posters have said.

You have no point, no example, no proof, no argument. :)

You need to consider your own words .. because that's where the 'proof' lies.

As soon as you claim that men are partly responsible for what women do with their bodies (in suggesting that men are somehow responsible for her decision to expose herself to a potential pregnancy), you deny women full and sole autonomy.

You need to think about why you're doing that, and consider what it is that you're trying to achieve in withholding full autonomy from women. Do you feel you need to protect women from themselves? If so, that's another blight on your copybook. That's basically saying women are too stupid to make sound decisions in relation to their own body, so men must 'help' them (by taking responsibility for HER decision).

You're trying to munge together the notions of a personal right to healthcare decision making and the costs associated with pregnancy and child rearing.

Women get full authority over their own bodies. Being the father of a fetus just does not get him rights over her decisions.

A man who fathers a fetus has responsibility that extends to the costs related to pregnancy and child rearing if the woman gives birth - divided between the man and the woman by the courts if they can't agree.

It's not some sort of recent development that these are separate issues.
