Voting by illegals has repeatedly been show to be a VERY rare event--and never enough to throw an election. I'm a Democrat, and I agree with you that we must have adequate screening to assure all votes are cast by eligible voters. But I've lived in 9 states, and have always had to prove I'm a citizen, I'm who I claim to be (photo ID), and prove my address is a valid one. I've never lived in a state that didn't require all these safeguards. I'm a Democrat & I support these safeguards. So, blaming Democrats for illegals voting is both unfair and undeserved. I've never had a fellow democrat tell me they supported illegals voting. Never. In the latest study done, in the 2018 election, they found 4 votes cast by illegals out of over 3 million. That's not a problem we need to be so concerned about. You should devote your energy & concern to other more pressing issues.

 

I live in CA and have seen the wave come over my state. I am thrilled you have always proved to be a citizen showing the proof you mention. I have never seen voter suppression either but hear about this from Democrats. Seems like where you lived, it would never be possible.

By the way, I have held 3 professional licenses here in CA. And to get the RE license, for years they did not require I prove (certified birth certificate only) to prove I am a citizen. I believe it was in the 90s that suddenly the state informed us all to get or renew the license, we must show them a certified birth certificate. I felt good since it showed that at last the state wanted to keep out non citizens.

Then I got the appraisers license which also required the same proof and then thanks to Obama no longer was my state license to do loans good enough he forced me back into school, back to the testing table and also prove to be a citizen of the USA.

Frankly it is far easier to vote than to do a job in this state.

 

If they believed the votes went to our party, they would care about it in about .5 of a second. One poster says in 9 states he voted in, he always was forced to prove he is a citizen. Well not all states do that. But that is great where it actually happens.

 

It's interesting that the only examples of voter fraud exposed from the 2018 election involved Republicans illegally preventing voters from voting whom they felt would support democratic candidates, or taking unfinished mail-in ballots & filling them out for Republican candidates without the legal voters' permission. This happened in WI, GA & NC. The NC example has actually forced authorities to approve an entirely new election. Blaming Democrats for voter fraud while Republicans are the only ones actually caught practicing it, is both hypocritical, and dishonest.

Robert, there has never been in the last twenty years a serious incident of voter fraud of illegal aliens turning an election. If you have one, bring it forward, please.
