It doesn't matter what your 'reasons' are. ANYONE asking for exceptions to be made (for their pet 'reasons') is acting against equality.

If you want to talk about culture. It was in the days that Trump went to school that the freaking army had to be dragged in so some black children could go to the same high school. As for the culture you speak off... you go source that. Meanwhile... the lobbed a lot of research together and found that it's racism and the school system. Poor black students who go to schools with less experienced teachers. White teachers expect that black students preform less well and so they do, unlike black teachers who aint like that.

How many white teachers and black teachers in urban school districts have you worked with, and for how long? How many of the students you seem to think are just numbers have you worked with, and for how long? Speak up now.

I sourced the research, buddy. That's what matters and that's how it works. If you came with some fabulous story about your life experiences, than in no way am I going to trust some anonymous gimp on a dodgy forum.

Why won't you answer a few simple questions? What are you afraid of?

I would have to beg to differ. A Communist would be 100% about the fairest possible system (colour and wealth blind testing).

schools are forced by liberals especially intercity schools to lower expectations and standards so to increase graduation rates and now they are forcing school not to expel trouble makers
liberals have given up trying to left up minorities because they have failed so now they are just lowering the standards and when other races excel they blame it on privilege instead of addressing the real cause

Progressives never intended to 'lift up minorities'. Only someone with half a brain thinks that enabling apathy elevates people. Furthermore, they claim to be for equality. There's nothing equal about a favouritism system, so that's also deeply problematic for their claims about their own politics.

Yes, yes and yes again. The quality of your child's school obviously has a direct impact on the quality of their education. You've admitted that poor students in your country receive specialized teachers. Poor parents in this country would also like their students to have quality teachers in schoo and while there are egalitarian souls who work for altruistic reasons, we have to ensure that the best teachers are not lured to more expensive districts due to better compensation.

While a good teacher and pencil and paper are excellent for teaching foundational skills, we live in a digital world and without proper access to technology kids will be out of their element and at a disadvantage when competing with kids who have technology at their disposal and when entering the real world. Their skills will be outdated.

I think you should listen to notme who has made some excellent points. I have more to say but alas I am headed to work now.

The specialist teaching I'm referring to is no different to any other 'special needs' teaching. This is govt funded education for special needs students - providing access to even the poorest. I hope you're not suggesting that poor kids with this particular need should not have access to suitable education. If you are, then I can understand why you're in agreement with notme.

As far as I know, they are forced to only lower the standard of acceptance.
You go source they are lowering their standards of their own exams.

Lower standards, higher graduation rates — who knew?

The standards for high school graduation have been steadily lowered in districts nationwide in a desperate effort to improve graduation rates, especially in lower income minority communities. ("L.A. Unified projects a record 75% graduation rate for Class of 2016," Aug. 9)
