Well if you'd have let it happen quickly, and kept yourself inside, the virus would be gone quickly and you'd be safe.

Your logic of slowing it down only increases your chances of getting it in the future

 

Not allowing for herd immunity to quickly occur only increases the chances that more vulnerable folks will get it. Additionally it is those very people who will suffer the most by the economic and social consequences of our actions.

I would think with the world focused on C19 we will find one. I do not get a flu shots yearly, no reason really just never do. I think I would get one of these if there were enough of them to go around.

So we wait(let's not use 12-18 month timetable because that was the starting point, let's say 9-15 months) for the vaccine, or for those unfortunate enough to get this sucker, beat this sucker and therefore have an immune system that is aware of this virus.

Doctors and scientists can work on treatments, without making financial decisions that they're not capable of making. They're still calling this "hard". It's not merely "hard", it's ****ing catastrophic. This is the first time in American history where we've injected a bubble of money into a "dead economy" where people aren't working.

The conditions are way worse than 1929, and it's because for all of their expertise on the science I regret to inform them they are economically illiterate, everywhere else.
