    What?

What exactly was unclear about what I wrote?
    We should not be gerrymandering.

I don't see how I can put it any clearer than that.

    Fine. :woot:

In previous uploads I interpreted some hedging
in regard to Black Districts less "they" go unrepresented.
    Or "less" represented.

Assuming you're referring to one of my posts and not someone elses, all I'm saying with regard to black districts,
is that any district set up as far as representation goes, to make black folks votes count for (e.g.) twice as much as everyone elses
or any district which is set up to make black folks votes worth (e.g.) half as much as everyone elses, should be revised to something fairer.

Basically, everyone's vote should count just the same as the next person's.
Race, religion, urban v rural, dem v repub, con v lib....
these things should not even come into the picture when deciding how the maps are drawn.

Seems to me y'can't have it both ways.
Either a checkerboard or as nearly so creation of districts
or skewing the lines a bit to give them or those the district.
Both ways can argue making everyone's vote count.
Or maybe I just don't get your message, Very Possible.

My message is simply that we should not be gerrymandering. I.e., we should not be drawing election maps such as to give the votes of any particular group of people any more or less representational weight than any other group. Race, religion, urban v rural, dem v repub, con v lib should not be considered when drawing the maps and maps that use race, religion, urban v rural, dem v repub, con v lib etc. to determine district groupings need to be replaced. To achieve fairness, districts should each contain about the same number of people and each be of similar shape to one another (squares and 'squared' rectangles are the simplest). Equalizing the number of people per district ensures that each person's vote is given the same weight. The square/rectangular shape ensures that there is no funny business (packing and cracking) going on such as to unfairly amplify the votes of any particular group or suppress the votes of another.

Here are some common rules for drawing fair districts in the link below that states use. We can also use computer programs that use these mathematical rules to draw them.
