Well, there certainly is a Left. The Greens are the mildest iteration. But there is also a hard and an ultra hard left too. They just can't get the American public behind them.

So they polled Arts/Humanities students on a colleg campus. The STEM students kept quiet. And no other youth were polled.

This would be comedy if it wasn't so spectacularly silly.

You'd be wrong. Or haven't been exposed to a wide enough range of youth demographics.

The key thing about kids is that they tend to be LIBERAL, and they're increasingly aware that any earlier hold the Left had on liberalism is almost gone. They're very much more inclined to vote independent now, than ever before - for that reason. The ambitious kids might go mainstream for economic reasons, but generally they have no truck with outdated social acceptances (eg ... if you don't vote Left, you're not one of the cool kids) when it comes to politics. They don't give a flying **** about gaining approval from those they see as mired in old tropes and ideologies.

I can only give you the same answers that we conservatives gave you after January 6, and I am sure you find them as dissatisfying now as then:

We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Today we will see whether Republicans stand strong for integrity of our elections, but whether or not they stand strong for our country, our country. Our country has been under siege for a long time, far longer than this four-year period. We’ve set it on a much straighter course, a much … I thought four more years. I thought it would be easy.

He also asked -- asked -- Mike Pence to reject Biden's win and send the results back to the states. Send them back to do ... what? Obviously he meant for the States to investigate irregularities and send new electors to Washington

Now, I concede that all of that is wrong, except for the call to "peacefully march and make our voices heard." Not exactly a Latin American coup, especially if he honestly believed those irregularities existed.

Did he so believe? If he is as crazy as the Left says he is, then he could have been engaged in wishful thinking, right? Or paranoid delusion. We all know people who won't believe bad news. The husband who honestly thinks his wife is coming back. The small businessman who thinks people will start buying hula hoops again.

I'm 50/50 on this question, but only God knows.

I think the question has now been answered.

Whatever one may think about the ideology of the Democratic Party

the reality is right there in the White House. - an old senile person with no sense of what is possible or impossible, and no idea what to do next.

Elizabeth Warren and Bernie aren't senile, but they'd be worse.

Bernie might suffice if he had strong economic advisors. He's not a warmonger (as far as I can tell .. but I could be wrong), and doesn't get too bogged down in the fatuous elites' woke BS.

I read the part of Elizabeth Warren's platform on Single-Payer Healthcare and after several readings, it became clear she was only running for President to take some votes away from Bernie, and to trash single-payer healthcare.

You might wonder why? What she did tactically worked, but overall she was part of destroying the Democratic Party.

Additionally, she completely blew her own credibility.

It was the old Bullsh*t baffles brains approach.

But she has nothing to build from.

Unless you live in a two party system. Like the US. Where voting independent doesn’t work as a political strategy. Or more importantly can’t explain why the youth these days think the GOP is racist and lying to pollsters about it.

There seems to be a direction other than Left or Right and that is Chaos. It is the same as corrupt.

Where a party has no objectives the only aim of politicians is to pick up bribes, and that's where the Democratic Party is.

This may sound a bit harsh, but apart from Bernie and AOC and a few on the Left, the democratic party is dominated by people with no principles.

So you can't simply vote democrat and hope the left gets in because they won't - the corrupt will get in.

You mean you didn't go for the "I'm gonna get me a beer" video? You know it causes me genuine agony to even think of that video, though the comments are hilarious.

We're all in two party systems, but young people are more willing than ever to vote independent. They don't want these Establishment cronies, whose sole purpose is to protect big business.

And you underestimate the intelligence of young people, if you think they're all running around worrying about the 'racism' defined by racists.

I doubt you read the OP where the OPs source says that the youths these days think the GOO is racist but hey you know. Whatever I guess. And no, we are not all in two party systems. That’s not true.

Dude .. the sample was Liberal Arts students on college campuses.

That's like asking Catholics if they like the Pope. It was pathetically silly.

The Democratic Party is going to need lots more liberal arts people because like every advanced country in the world has a coherent way of funding healthcare, except the US which has the sort the Democratic Party likes.

So Elizabeth Warren says after taking the cost of those 906 health insurance companies out, and a zillion administrators at hospitals who divide up the bills between those health insurance companies, with their various plans, and the copays and the coinsurance and deductibles,

and the data shows all those other healthcare systems cost only half as much which isn't a surprise really, but
E Warren finds that after removing all that stuff the total cost comes out higher.

Over a decade it will be 65 trillion dollars higher. Trillion, with a 'T'.

Maybe liberal arts people can believe crap like that.

All about perspective isn’t it? US politics is well to the right compared with many other places and still terrified of Communism.

Maybe the youth should just choose to
    not vote in 2024!

Unless youth believe Trumpism creates an
    economy of hope & enrichment.

If you are White, Male & Straight the
Democratic Party rejects you invoking CRT.
No job preference. No scholarship. etc

    Just Don't Vote.

Why do you think they are trying to buy their votes with this outlandish taxpayer absorb their college debts so they can buy fancier cars and boats and lavish vacations.

The Republican Party provided Donald Trump, who was in the know about a few things and got some things right and some things wrong. We need someone better.
In 2020 out of everyone they could choose from, the DNC messed up and gave us a President who only gets things wrong.

Moi is right - both parties have failed.

In 1860 there was a four-way election with a clear overall winner that reunited the nation.
    We have to try that.
Maybe enough people will come on board with one particular choice.
Maybe it will be Andrew Yang and the Forward Party or Tulsi Gabbard or someone else.
    But we have to try.

People don’t want it. The democrats seem to think everyone is poor, illegal, ex con, mentally ill, etc. They are so into the fringe population they think everyone else is there with them. They ain’t.

Totally Impossible to predict at this point.
    Too much (unforeseen) could happen.
