I see several people listing military enemies. I don't think any country is stupid enough to challenge us militarily. However, their attacks will be economically or and politically. As we are seeing now, the democrats no matter what the evidence shows are 100% into the Russian collusion theory. We have also seen the pay to play system high lighted by the corrupt Clinton Foundation. This needs to end. I am also hoping the US leadership is smart enough to not let us get sucked into any more regional conflicts. I was happy to see Trump say no when baited to get involved in the cluster that is Africa. I hope he stays with that policy.

IMO inefficient actualization of human resources is the core problem, but I don't see that on your list.

#1. An immediate cease fire in all war zones and removal of all military bases and troops from foreign lands.

#2. The immediate removal, arrest and prosecution of all those in power in Washington for war crimes, crimes against humanity, crimes against the Constitution and racketeering. Included is the immediate arrest and prosecution for the same crimes committed by the prior two administrations.

#3. The addition of an Amendment to the Constitution with practical application to enforce the Constitution on all US government and all state government SERVANTS that includes removal of all immunity protections (qualified and absolute).

#4. The immediate termination of the IRS, DHS, CIA, FBI, NSA, FISA secret courts, TSA and all other unconstitutional rogue agencies and other entities.

#5. A review of all existing and proposed legislation for constitutional compliance by a constitutional committee consisting of The People and immediate nullification of all laws that do not comply. Including all SCOTUS case "law". And the immediate removal of the unconstitutional power seized by SCOTUS to "interpret" the Constitution.

#6. A practical transition from the scam Federal Reserve monetary system to a monetary system in full compliance with the Constitution.

I have a bunch more but those would be a good start.

Alright! I'm calling it here, no more nominations.
If anyone wants to vote for something not currently in the list, you can add it as a "write-in".

As you can all see, the current list is massive!
At 41 options total, it blows the previous record holder (The Vegetable Vote) clean out of the water. Which, is fitting for the first serious-series vote. But that large number of options does mean that I am forced to use both numbers and special characters for some of the option labels. :Z Hopefully this doesn't cause any confusion, but if you have any questions at all, please do let me know.

    A. Gerrymandering
    B. Automation-Induced Job-Loss
    C. Unemployment and Underemployment in General
    D. Partisan Dysfunction in Congress
    E. Too Many Abortions
    F. Too Many Restrictions on Abortion
    G. General Lack of Meaningful Civil Discourse
    H. Too Much Gun Violence
    I. Too Many Restrictions on the Second Amendment
    J. Immigration
    K. Healthcare
    L. Debt And Deficits
    M. Global Warming
    N. Lackluster Education
    O. North Korea
    P. Iran
    Q. Drug Trafficking
    R. Lack of Congressional Term Limits
    S. Progressive Domination of Education
    T. Fake News and Disinformation
    U. Back-room Dealing in Politics
    V. Judicial Activism
    W. The Tort System
    X. Entitlements
    Y. Partisanship in General
    Z. General Lawlessness in Society
    0. Overly Soft Treatment of Criminals by the Justice System
    9. Homelessness
    8. Overpopulation
    7. Excessive Welfare
    6. Pussification of our Youth
    5. Executive Branch Corruption
    4. Campaign Finance Laws
    3. Economic and Social Inequality
    2. Global Sustainability
    1. China
    #. Russia
$. Maintaining US Power Against Rivals
    &. Pay to Play
@. Too Much Involvement in Foreign Regional Conflicts
%. Inefficient Utilization of Human Resources

Just as a reminder, to vote here, all you need to do is list the options/their labels in order of preference. For example,...If I thought that North Korea was the U.S.'s number one top issue to be concerned about, followed closely by Russia, China, and then Iran (and if I didn't really care about the others), to vote, I would simply make a post with the following:
    O, #, 1, P
Hope that makes sense, but again, if it doesn't, please let me know.

Also, normally I would encourage all voters to rank all or almost all the options, though given the sheer size of this list I wouldn't really blame you if you end up only ranking a portion. Just remember though, the more options you rank, the more chances your ballot has to influence the final result in the (very likely) case that not enough people agree with you on your first few picks. Just FYI :)

And with that, Let the voting phase BEGIN! [serious-face]--->ಠ_ಠ

Sorry, you just barely missed the cutoff. But you can still add these into your vote as "write-ins" if you want.
(I didn't really have any labels left to use anyways >_>)

Maybe the top issue is that people mistake a confederation of sovereign states for a nation.

Good excuse. What really matters is that these MOST SIGNIFICANT TOP ISSUES that no one else brought up were posted. The rest is irrelevant.

    5, 4, T, 3, &, U, V, A, 2, M

A quick explanation. For example, my take on "fake news" will be quite different from how some others interpret it.

    5. Executive Branch Corruption -- For the first time in US history, a presidential admin is trying to put itself above the law.

    4. Campaign Finance Laws -- Most problems stem from how politicians are bribed/bought through campaign contributions.

    T. Fake News -- Trump's base, about 25% of the country, is living in a fake-news fueled alternate reality.

    3. Economic and Social Inequality -- The USA is now the most unequal and stratified democracy. If you're born in a class, you stay in that class.

&. Pay to Play -- One corrupt pillar of of the Trump admin.

    U. Back-room Dealing in Politics -- Another pillar. All the bribing is done out of sight.

    V. Judicial Activism -- Specifically, conservative judicial activism, such as "money is free speech".

    A. Gerrymandering -- an attack on representative government

    2. Global Sustainability -- The world is heading for a Seneca Cliff with multiple resources. A long term problem, but one with dire consequences.

    M. Global Warming -- Not going to kill us, but it will make everything a little worse

That qualifies as a sh!tload of problems.

I often worry, having been a student of classic history in college, that like the Athenians we the Americans will become impatient with our democracy/republic and switch to a tyranny like the Athenians instead.

Remember it was the Athenians who invented democracy -- way back in 510 BCE.

And finally after only a couple of hundred years they fell for the temptation to get rid of it.

Seriously Dude you should go take a tour and check it out.

You would find lots of like minded people to yourself and I predict you would love it in China or N.Korea.

That the Democratic party has become a third world banana republic criminally corrupt organization and moved so far to the left that they need to change their name to the Internationalist Socialist Party.

Enforce the immigration laws that are already on the books, deport all illegal aliens.

Comprehensive immigration reform, America's immigration policies should be based on what's best for American citizens and America not what's best for the immigrant or one political party. Reinstate the Immigration Act of 1924. It worked extremely well and made America great for 41 years.

Reverse all of the social engineering experimentation that has been forced upon our military services.

    Over population.

Impeach all federal judges who are activist judges and legislate from the bench.

Replace all war monuments that the American Taliban have toppled.

    End political correctness in America.

The voting phase is open, right now.
If you were looking for a separate approval poll, like in the Pet thread, there wont be one this time around. Per this post, to vote here, simply rank the listed items in your order of preference...as in, start your list with the item you think is the biggest issue at the top (or leftmost side) of your list and then go from there.

    Yes it does...:blankstare:

We mustn't let anything like that happen to us.
Its high time that we buckle down, stop kicking the cans down the road,
and face the enormous pile of issues in front of us head on like responsible adult citizens.

Thanks but it really wasn't about voting, it was about reality.

If what I "ranked" is accomplished, most of the rest would not exist.

Okay, so uh, yeah....I actually did it. Yep! I went and ranked them all! That's right...Every...Single...Option...
    Lol...Here's my vote:

    D,A,4,C,B,%,T,Y,G,Infrastructure,@,9,3,5,&,U,R,H,#,Z,J,K,L,N,Q,2,M,O,W,1,F,E,8,X,V,$,I,P,7,S,0,6

The items rounding out the top of my ballot can be split up into three main groups...

    D. Partisan Dysfunction in Congress
    A. Gerrymandering
    4. Campaign Finance Laws

I rank this^ group at the top because they are integrally bound within the very core processes that define how our system of self-government operates...and if we've got issues here, we are going to have big problems trying to effectively fix any of the other issues on the list. So at the top they go.

    C. Unemployment and Underemployment in General
    B. Automation-Induced Job-Loss
%. Inefficient Utilization of Human Resources

This^ group effects how our economy works, and that in turn impacts our general well-being overall. If we allow issues here to fester, well then...let's just say that the results are not going to be pretty. Unemployment isn't so big an issue right now, but underemployment has risen and seems to go largely unaddressed and rarely ever even acknowledged. As automation advances in the coming years, both will rise significantly if we don't do anything. If I didn't think issues with the first group would greatly impact our ability to fix these, I actually would have ranked this group higher (i.e. at the very top).

    T. Fake News and Disinformation
    Y. Partisanship in General
    G. General Lack of Meaningful Civil Discourse

Whereas the first group involves issues with our elected officials/how they work together/how we choose them, and the second group involves major issues with our economy as a whole, this^ third group involves how we the general populous work together and how we perceive the issues. If we are being misinformed, and or are so caught up in partisan tribalism that we can't civilly discuss the issues with one another, then we are going to have trouble coming up with solutions to the various issues or effectively figuring out which representatives are going to best advocate for our interests. It was a close call really, I could have put this one a bit higher, but I think it fits well here.

Infrastructure: I still can't believe we all forgot to nominate this one!
@. Too Much Involvement in Foreign Regional Conflicts

I want to just mention this item briefly too. Basically, while I can see some good in some amount of benevolent intervention in foreign countries for reasons like defending democracy, helping out our allies, humanitarianism and whatnot, the amount of involvement we have right now is just a bit too much, and some of the reasons for our involvement aren't really worth the risk of American life that comes along with it if you ask me. Not to mention that stuff like this acts as a distraction for us being able to solve any of these others issues and takes up resources we could be using here at home. edit: added Infrastructure

But alright, now I've said my piece. Looking forward to seeing how everyone else votes. :)
