Oh...um....Are you like, being serious here? >_>

Hey, wait a minute,...you already voted!

...though it was before the voting phase was actually open.
Now that the full list is up, do you want to change or alter your vote?

    Oh! () Infrastructure...
    That's a good one...and I mean like...a really good one.
Seriously...how the heck did none of the rest of us think to nominate that?...

I guess there are just way too many issues in this country for even a group of us to be able to remember enough to list them all. :/

    WUT?

I gave suggestions, when you asked for suggestions. I guess I couldn't figure out your system for giving nominations before, and can't figure out your voting system now.

To make this easier for myself I am copying, pasting and editing your list.

FTR I think that ^. Infrastructure does deserve a top 5 ranking because it would be in my top 5 if it was on the list.

    My rankings;

    3. Economic and Social Inequality
    X. Entitlements
    4. Campaign Finance Laws
    ^. Infrastructure (write-in)

    A. Gerrymandering
    N. Lackluster Education
    D. Partisan Dysfunction in Congress

    H. Too Much Gun Violence
    T. Fake News and Disinformation

    Y. Partisanship in General

    C. Unemployment and Underemployment in General
    G. General Lack of Meaningful Civil Discourse
    K. Healthcare
    L. Debt And Deficits

    9. Homelessness
    5. Executive Branch Corruption

    My rankings separated by commas;

    3,X,4,^,A,N,D,H,T,Y,C,G,K,L,9,5

    Reasoning behind my rankings;

    3. Economic and Social Inequality - If we don't resolve this one ASAP we could have to deal with the consequences of another revolution.

    X. Entitlements - The majority of Boomers are retiring without any source of income. They will vote their displeasure at this outcome in the upcoming elections over the next 2 decades.

    4. Campaign Finance Laws - The root of all evil being Citizens United that MUST be repealed ASAP. Corporations and organizations like the NRA owning our representatives is destroying our nation.

^. Infrastructure (write-in) - Fixing the infrastructure is essential unless we are willing to become a 3rd world nation.

    A. Gerrymandering - Should be illegal under all circumstances irrespective of partisan affiliation.

    N. Lackluster Education - This is the FUTURE of our nation and the failure to ensure that our children and grandchildren are provided with a decent education is a betrayal of what this nation was founded upon, namely an informed electorate.

    D. Partisan Dysfunction in Congress - Putting partisanship above what is best for We the People is a violation of the Oath of Office.

    H. Too Much Gun Violence - Too much obsession with guns for our own good.

    T. Fake News and Disinformation - We need to get back to fact based information in order to make decisions.

    Y. Partisanship in General - Same as 'D' above. We need to learn how to COMPROMISE just like the Founding Fathers did.

    C. Unemployment and Underemployment in General - Hardworking Americans deserve to be paid living wages with benefits. The economy BOOMS when we pay people properly. Just look at what happened after WW2 and the 1990's.

    G. General Lack of Meaningful Civil Discourse - Yes, it is hard to rise about emotions and look at issues objectively but that is not an excuse.

    K. Healthcare - Medicare for ALL Americans and this issue goes away.

    L. Debt And Deficits - Surtax on the wealthy to pay down the debt and raise taxes on all income in excess of $1 million to balance the budget.

    9. Homelessness - This falls under the heading of actually providing meaningful MENTAL healthcare to everyone who needs it.

    5. Executive Branch Corruption - Sigh! This one is on us! We need to pick better candidates in the future because what we have now is ruining our nation and the future for our children and grandchildren.

    Jeeze too much work.

#1 is definitely replacing Ginsberg on the SCOTUS. That affects everybody.

#2 is N.Korea. They are now within missile range of the USA.

#3 is Iran. They are completely irrational.

None of the above. All you have listed are but of effects of a central cause so how can anyone take this seriously?

Ever watch the movie "V for Vendetta? Got a mirror?

But to break it down to one word - "FEAR".

"Ever watch the movie "V for Vendetta?"

    No.

    "Got a mirror?"

Is this a trick question? If so, it's too clever by half.

"But to break it down to one word - "FEAR"."

    Er...OK.

    Nevermind.

I highly recommend the movie, it opens minds. It is based on Guy Fawkes and is very applicable to the world today.

The mirror and fear is in reference to a speech by the hero. It is about a tyrannical government where to find the causation one need but look into a mirror, so very applicable today. Then comes the why, fear.

But is "got a mirror" a trick question, no. If one wants to discover the root cause of what is manifesting in their world, one need but look in the mirror. For an action to manifest it must first start in the mind.

Manifested Reality, the quality of the condition which manifests in any society is based upon the aggregate quality of human behavior within that society.

No, that's perfect. That's really the best way to do it. Thanks

Oh I definitely agree it deserves to be ranked high. I still can't believe we forgot to nominate it.
I actually think I'm going to amend my own vote and slot it in right above foreign involvement.

BTW, the order is a bit different from my list, but I think the reasoning you gave for having your rankings included is spot on!

    That works.

Thanks for this post. Now I can see how you want us to vote. Your example just looked like random letters, numbers, and symbols to me. [You had said that you wanted us to only use letters, so I didn't even "see" that you had extended the list to include them. (I read the instructions before I was going to consider the nominations.)]

Job market, with the issue of housing following closely behind, and possibly the country needs to look at the distribution of those jobs across the country; spreading out the jobs over a wider geographic area might ease up on the housing affordability.

some believe immigration & trade policies are big economic factors that need to be addressed, and of course the National Debt is becoming urgent.

Yes, that is my suggestion. The United States are a union of sovereign states, not a nation but a confederation/federation, if you will.
