Republicans should have fixed the Impeachment process when they had the chance.

not the way it works, Trump tried to do it, just because he failed at it doesn't mean it's ok that he tried to do it

Trump fails at meany things he does....

Extortion: (Law) the crime of obtaining money or some other thing of value by the abuse of one's office or authority.

Extortion or Bribery -- make up your mind...... or come up with something new for the impeachment du jour.

I am not laying out articles of impeachment, nor particularly care about the specific legal niceties. I am far more interested in the process being a means of exposing the truth, and hope that no one tries to hide relevant information or obstructs the testimony of witnesses who can provide evidence and clarifications. The American people have a right to full disclosure.

Among the questions that need to be answered:

How was Trump’s order to freeze the $400 million in military assistance handled at the highest levels of his administration? What reasons were given, if any, to the senior budget officials who implemented the abrupt freeze?

Sounds like you don't concern yourself with the legal niceties so long as you get your man.

Yes because of course the whole world knew of the corruption. There was no investigation about the Bidens at the time. You guys are pathetic.

You can be as pissy as need be concerning the exposure of Fake Don's machination by multiple, credible, expert witnesses under oath.

I hope that Fake Don will stop trying to hide the facts, obstruct the constitutional process, gag witnesses, and divert from the matter so that the American electorate will cast a more knowledgable vote in November, 2020.

Which is meaningless when the guilt or innocence has already been decided by Senate republicans who will vote in a predictable way. The rules of the judiciary do not apply to the rules of the legislature where the impeachment is happening.

The supreme court has ruled that people in congressional hearings must be afforded the same due process rules as the constitution gives in criminal proceedings. I'm sure this would apply to impeachment hearings and trials, though possibly not in the entirety. The court has never been asked to make a ruling on impeachment hearings. Up until now all previous impeachment hearings did not have the problem of abandonment of due process. Maybe the supreme court might not even be asked, or if asked maybe will make a ruling, or maybe not.

Yes, desperate attempts to prevent Americans from learning the truth are not in the nation's interests. The lying, diversions, and obstructions must stop.

Claiming to be sure "this would apply to impeachment hearings and trials" does not mean that it does. I would love to have SCOTUS rule on the process because as it is the process of impeachment is broken.

All true, but it is not likely the supreme court will jump into the fray.
