Thank you AA, you answered my question. I appreciate and respect your depth of honesty.

 

AA gave the answer that I suspected all along, but just wanted to see if someone else with morals and ethics would own up to it.

Its not often I see his depth of honesty on this forum, and I appreciate and respect him for it.

 

Spreads the exposure, shows a more global front which increases the chance of others being willing to join in, allows inter-operability training for future operations to be more successful.... plus the US has many more front's and so despite it's size, that entire size is not available for one single area of operations. It's not just politics, not by a long shot, but perhaps a little bit about the politics thrown in because for politicians its always got to be about politics obviously.

You will find I will always post the facts and if I am ever proved wrong by another member I will thank them for informing me of my error as I would hate to keep on posting something that was not a fact.

The degree of my knowledge of what went on is VAST.

There were 5 plans under consideration after 9/11 and some of them read like Dr. Strangelove.

Believe it or not the LEAST destructive of the 5 considered plans was chosen.

The American People were in a state of TEMPORARY INSANITY.

It could have been a lot...lot...worse.

Don't kid yourself about the U.S. Military EVER being spred thin.

Militarily there is NO NEED to put BOOTS on the ground when you can destroy your enemy at will.

Putting boots on the ground is all for the purpose of Politics....the U.S. has absolutely no need to occupy any Nation.
