Dr. Ben Carson is exactly right on about this. He makes great points about not following in the footsteps of other nations and that we know better. The kind of inflation and interest rates these policies are going to trigger will make us long for the days of Jimmy Carter’s national malaise.

 

if the progressive lefts agenda biDen is pushing gets passed our children and grand children will curse us and rightfully so. They will despise us for letting this happen to them and inflicting this upon them. They will spit upon our graves and again, rightfully so. Because we knew better and did it anyway.

 

Dr. Ben Carson was right regarding the danger to our nation’s future and economic viability if Biden is able to get his economic policies and budget enacted.

 

You know there is a Democrat in the White House when Republicans start screeching about the poor children & future generations. Seems to matter less when Republican Presidents want to pile on debt or enact other policies that are unacceptable when Democrats are in power.

I am nearly 84. This inflation is not likely to affect me at all. It is the children which it will affect. And the democrats frequently talk about the effect on the children. And now you are downplaying the children angle.

 

It’s amazing people think Biden, in just a little over four months, is responsible for this inflation. Michael Burry predicted this inflation in April 2020. It shouldn’t be hard to figure out coming out of a pandemic is the reason for this inflation. I guess being partisan makes people stupid.

 

Somebody should have told that to Republican Presidents before they signed off on the largest deficit spending bills in
US history ...

Reagan added 170% to the National debt.
Bush II added 101% to the National debt.
Clinton added 39% to the National debt.
Obama added 89% to the National debt.

Obama signed off on $8.7 trillion in debt in 8 years.
Trump signed off on $8.9 trillion in debt in 4 years.

Dept. of Treasury numbers.

If you take the time to notice. I did not mention Biden. Inflation is a problem which needs to be solved and Biden is adding to the problem with these stimulus bills which amount to around six trillion dollars after just over four months in office.;

 

I am downplaying the fearmongering by the Repubs that suddenly think that printing money will cause massive inflation while they never had an issue with it during the past 4 years.

Hard to take such people seriously, especially when they start a dozen "the world as we know it is ending" threads a day

 

Do you really believe that printing money with nothing to back it up is not inflationary? That is contrary to every economics book I have ever read.

The sad thing about this is that I think you actually believe it. Some right wing nutter wrote it so it must be true - like the $15 wage leading to $20 burgers. I'm trying to work out what desperate & obvious lies right wingers won't believe if fed to them by GOP politicians or their favourite publications, but I'm not sure there are any. It is true in this moment because you say it is, and when it doesn't happen (and it won't) you will concoct some fantasy about Republicans saving America from $100 bread loaves.
