Warming happened. It was this time called the 90s. The earth has not warmed since then. It is not happening. Hasn't been for quite some time.
Hogwash. I was in the Arctic last year and the pack ice is still receding. I have been going there for 15 years. Go there yourself. It'll scare the sh** out of you. Not trying to be mean. I'm very fortunate to be able to travel and see these things for myself, but when someone tells me that what I'm seeing is wrong, I tend to get my back up. You wouldn't believe how much the landscape has changed since I started going there. It really is scary. I'm amazed that we don't notice the temperature changes more in North America.
Then that begs the question of if temperatures have been flat why was the ice pack still receding? If you did some research you would find that the arctic ice pack is very sensitive to things other than temperature. Wind magnitude and direction drives arctic ice more than any other single factor. There is also ocean currents and black carbon, all of which have a greater direct effect than ambient temperature. It is pure sophistry to think that temperature is what drives accumulation and sublimation of arctic ice. Unfortunately you have been told that this has to be because of rising temperature. Its a simple answer but reality isn't so simple.

Youve seen less ice that is all. You've heen told by people that have an agenda that its due to warming. I suggust you read for yourself the effect that wind magnitude and direction has on arctic ice before jumping to overly simplistic conclusions. You are engaging in falacy of a single cause.
Are you entirely sure that whatever you're reading doesn't have big business behind it? Seriously, I like the Drudge Report and recently there was an environmental story on there that I thought seemed odd. I did some digging and found that the site Drudge was referencing was partially funded by Exxon. Common sense tells me that Exxon is going to downplay environmental problems to further their agenda. It's similar to listening to doctors in the 40s and 50s who were funded by the Tobacco industry. Their "scientists" downplayed the links between smoking and cancer.
