Most of Jedda is quite nice .. They have a beautiful corniche and lots of nice neighborhoods..parks, shopping malls.. and old Jedda is big on historical preservation. Your first video is old Jedda.. I love it. Its the grandmother city because legend has it that Eve is buried there.

The black abaya protects women's skin and hair from the sun and sandstorms.. and affords them some privacy. It dates back before Islam when Christian and Jewish women also covered up.

So now it's come down to the school not even being on fire. And it was all panic because someone was 'sneaking a smoke'.

You must be on the payroll of the Saudi Government and you should be ashamed, if shame exists in your world

The school didn't burn.. Something was smoldering in the attic. There are very few Mutaween ... only about 3400 for the whole country and they usually come out around evening prayer times. Everyone made it out to the main street except the girl's who were on the staircase when it collapsed. That is what happened. No one was forced back into the building.

And yet the "Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice" insists they were black shrouds. Perhaps wearing white, in order to reflect the heat, is the sign of a sinful woman.

Despite the Saudi media and the parents of the dead children saying otherwise. Gee, who to believe, who to believe\?

Then why are you not living there? Why do you live in the US?

Because I am an American. Most Americans who work in Arabia stay 20-30 years ... Some are second and third generation.

The parents of the 14 little girls know they died when the staircase collapsed.

So, you did not live the life as an average Saudi female. You had the benefit of working a corporate or government gig.

How often did you drive when working in SA?

I just drove in the compound or out in the desert. Every where else I took a cab or a bus.

Ahh, I see you tip-toeing around the obvious- you were not legally permitted to drive in SA, even if you were working for the American Ambassador or for an oil company.

You did not live the life as an average Saudi female. Because if you did, your posts in here on the glory of SA may not be so prolific, and may come to grips with reality in SA.

Most American women left the compounds several times a week. Daniel Greenfield knows nothing at all about Saudi Arabia...He's a notorious propagandist..

American women can talk with Saudi men or Saudi women... Whereas few American men can talk with Saudi women.

Leaving a compound legally driving a car and leaving a compound having to take a taxi as it is illegal for you to drive a car, much less drive a taxi cab, are totally different rightful actions.

You know that........as you now attack a source on the reality of life in SA.

If life was truly as glorious in SA as you try to peddle in here, you would be there, living it up on that compound, lol.

No .... Americans do not become Saudi citizens and cannot stay beyond retirement age. Driving in compounds is not illegal..

Daniel Greenfield is a liar who has NEVER set foot in Arabia.

Says you, a cheerleader for SA who really lived it up on a compound in SA.

Amazing how you ignore the reality of slave labor and apartheid in SA.

People were eager to work in KSA because they could earn enough money to support extended family in other countries.. You've never been there have you? Its a wonderful country and the people are friendly and hospitable..

Oh, wow, quite the tap dance now, with deflection and head in the sand. Earn enough money, my how utterly callous.

It's a wonderful country so long as you are a male and a member of the Ruling Class.

Where did you live in Saudi Arabia? Do you know anyone there who in the ruling class? Yes money is important if you are working to support your family in India or Egypt or Pakistan.

Americans go for the money as well, but also for education and travel.

Not in the Ruling class. You have posted in here about your interactions with the Ruling class. That is a far cry existence from those poor souls from other poor countries looking for work in SA, only to become slaves, indentured servants, abused, and in cases, murdered by the very hands of their employers.

Most Americans are working in government and other corporate type gigs, not scrubbing toilets for peanuts and a lashing for missing a spot.
