No and I don't believe everything I read or am told either. But I do think many muslism are uncivilized. But that is their nation and their problem. IMO

Unfortunately that problem is spreading to the democracies.

    No good...

The US accepted bribery of almost $500 billion for "rendering slow and comfortable integration process". Without it some ugly conditions would have been pushed in order to accomplish pre-set social initiatives via harsh "demographical" manipulation...

The US forced its ally to choose between two options:

    -Buy the easy way, or;
    -Leave it to Sam.

Not anytime soon. What good would it do them?

Yeah, along with their culture and society as a whole.

I doubt the House of Saud wants democracy in the Kingdom any time soon.

They feel a breakthrough in democracy is allowing women to drive a car, despite them having to be a minimum of 30 years old and allowing it only certain hours. They still have a long way to go. http://www.theweek.co.uk/60339/nine-things-women-cant-do-in-saudi-arabia

No girls were forced into burning buildings.. Over 100 girls and teachers escaped a smoky fire before the staircase collapsed and 14 were killed.

That's all lies.. Girls will be eligible to drive at 18 and there will be NO curfews. Some of the older clerics made such claims, but they are untrue.

I'm just saying that what works in the US, Western Europe, Japan, etc. might not be what's right for Saudi Arabia.

Your constant defense of Middle East atrocities is only exceeded by your criticisms of the United States. There are reports of this crime occurring, including Saudi sources, and later instances of similar problems, and deaths, also. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_Mecca_girls'_school_fire

They are wrong.. I was on the phone to several newspapers in KSA the next day. There was no fire, just smoke pouring out of the attic.. The school was a converted apartment building designed for 20 families with no modern fire exits etc.. It was over crowded. Its still standing. It had a single front door and gate.. and it was down a narrow alley off a main street. Over 100 girls and teachers were out on that main street before a Mutaween showed up. 14 died when the staircase collapsed. Wiki is wrong and so are you..

I stand corrected. It seems that the new Prince, despite cleric protests, will allow women some greater freedoms over time.

Perhaps the hold of these backward clerics, who are so fearful of losing their power, will begin to crumble. That would be a very good thing..

Perhaps you were misinformed. Even the Royal family became involved and substantial changes were made.

There have been many instances where the same thing was said about Black people, the Japanese, and the Germans. The fact is that people everywhere can adapt to freedoms very well, and in fact often seek them out.

Why do you think the situation would not be the same for women in Muslim countries?

I think it is very arrogant for us as Westerners to assume that everybody worldwide wants to live the same way that we do. You're assuming that the overwhelming majority of Saudi women want to live an American-style life, but that's not necessarily the case. We don't know that to be true.

To me personally, their way of life doesn't make that much sense. There's nothing quite as disappointing as a beach full of women you can't see. Having to go to a men's only area at McDonald's doesn't sound like a good time. But if it works for them, who am I to say they need to change?

It is being spread by the world leaders who use it to control the only nations left with any resemblance of freedom left. We blow up nations they invite into free western and European nations the same people we claim to be fighting. Why is this? And who is behind the destruction of the civilized world? I don't know.

I can't imagine how you can compare Japan and Germany to Africa. Facts are facts and matter how you rearrange or deny them. Africa has never built or crated much of anything in past 1000 yr.s. It is not the people it is the culture that keeps them in despair.

Yes. I know the royal family was involved. Abdullah was king and he was pissed.. Changed girl's education to another ministry, but the fact remains that over 100 got out before the stairs collapsed.

I wasn't comparing. I was saying that there were many following WWII who didn't want democracy for Germans and Japanese - saying they weren't temperamentally suited to it. That's also the same argument often used against democracy in Iraq, and the one you're using against women in Saudi Arabia.

I'm very aware that many young girls escaped and that was never my argument. What is widely known, apart from yourself it seems, is that many young girls were forced to return to certain death in the burning building, 15 or so, because they weren't, according to the guardians of public morality, properly attired in Islamic getup. This in the holy of holiest Muslim cities.

And yet you seem more outraged by something Donald Trump has said than 15 young girls being deliberately murdered by religious fanatics.. Interesting priorities you have.

Comparisons make no sense. Africa has never been a progressive nation under black ruler ship. And ME was close under Saddam Hussain and Momar Qudaffi. Both had Chrisitains and even a few Jews living in relative peace till we drooped in some 'democrazy' in on them now they are hellholes of sufferign and violence.

My local news program says women can drive upon reaching age 30 and licensed of course.
