The above title is from a current {2/18/2021} article published by
    Hillsdale College.

Here is one excerpt from that article:

"Worse, we hear so-called experts on TV warning that social
distancing, masks, and other restrictions will still be necessary
after people are vaccinated! All indications are that those in power
have no intention of allowing Americans to live normally—which
for Americans means to live freely—again.

And sadly, just as in Galileo’s time, the root of our problem lies
in “the experts” and vested academic interests. At many
universities—which are supposed to be America’s centers
for critical thinking—those with views contrary to those of
“the experts” currently in power find themselves intimidated.
Many have become afraid to speak up."

    PS
This article is packed with jewels of truth regarding Covie.

    My view:
    Covie is on the run.
Covie, he soon be Walgreen'd to death.
Walgreens and many other outlets are vac'ing Americans galore.
Signs up everywhere: Come on in & get vac'd.

    The good news:
Dr. Foochie will soon be demonstrated wrong one more time.
"Americans should never shake hands again."__Dr. Foochie
No more hugs either, eh,? Dr. Foochie.
    LOL
    Crazy world out there.

    Yes it's a crazy world.

Hillsdale College is a refreshing exception to higher education. There, facts are openly discussed in an effort to find the truth. Hillsdale seeks the truth, so many others suppress the truth.

If the work done by Dr. David E. Martin were to be exposed by Hillsdale, the dam would be burst.

Plandemic is the word. Anthony Fauci is a serial violator of federal statutes, and the records of the US Patent Office show it.

You get a new vaccine for the flu every year because the flu mutates.
Covid has already mutated and we know there are going to be flare ups of the mutations. Wouldn't it be so much better to keep the safety precautions in place to prevent as many flare ups as possible as we rebuild a more stable economy?

There isn't solid science that indicates that those vaccinated can't pass COVID to those who are not vaccinated.

The reason for masks and distancing is so that YOU don't spread the disease to others.

The record for personal protection from dying of COVID is huge, but there isn't science saying that you can't kill others with your own personal irresponsibility.

Being vaccinated does NOT mean that you don't have COVID viruses. Viruses don't just go away like that.

    The question is:

    Are you a sociopath?

On the tombstone of Masked Casper Milk-Toast Cream Puff was written these
    words:

Thoroughly brainwashed by the Health Nazis and the Medical-Scare-Mongers
    and by Dr. Foochie and Dr. Foochie's gaggle of "experts" { X- squirts }
he didth go merrily, and totally befuddled, down the road of slave-obedience
puffed-up and strutting all the way to the gulag and he was proud to be enslaved
because deep in his heart he loved Big Brother and worshiped him in awe and
he was proud to be Big Brother's obedient slave-servant obeying in all things
as he was commanded to obey, unto croaking time, death day.

Absolutely!!! But, in keeping with the American tradition of walking the walk, once we have 100% compliance of Democrat voters who cried out for govt mandates and govt control, then it can be forced upon the rest of the population. Compliance must be no going outside at all without being double masked and, the mask police can stop you on the street, or pull you over in your car and verify that both masks are being worn correctly. Yes, masking up within your own vehicle is now to be required.

After that, any Democrat voter who is masked up, and is caught fidgeting with aforementioned mask, or touching products without buying the product touched, or caught wiping their eyes and/or nose must be subjected to severe financial penalties

We, the deplorables are looking toward Democrat voters who are more enlightened than us to set the example. SO, are you ready to walk the walk? Or, do you simply want to talk the talk?

Honestly I know this is your apocalypse but that sounds wonderful for me. I hate sneezing so much but wearing a mask means I don't sneeze as much anymore. Classrooms are so much quieter now and I can concentrate more. I love wearing my mask and will keep wearing them after Covid is over.

Here is a humorous article on Covie from Townhall:

    Excerpt:

    Start quote.
"It might not occur to you, because you are not a bizarre wierdo, but a lot
of people really love the pandemic. Not just the little fascist gnome who
changes his #science advice more often than a Wellesley girl changes
her preferences during her sophomore year experimental phase, and
not just the fascist pols who get off on exploiting their emergency
    powers to boss people around,
    but even some regular people.
The masks, the paranoia, the constant talk about vaccines – some
    people love this stuff.

    This is their Woodstock.

And they never want it to end.

Why would anyone enjoy this idiocy? Limits on your freedom,
hectoring pests, nitwits riding around in their Priuses with face
    diapers wrapped around their talk-holes
    … it’s an abomination.
Yet there’s this slice of the populace that gets into it. They resist
a return to normalcy because their normal lives were not that
great to begin with and this is the most exciting thing that will
    ever happen to them."
    End quote.

Assuming Covid has been effectively dealt with and there is no mandatory mask requirements in place anymore? Yes.

"This is the reality: those who insist that universal mask usage has absolutely
proven effective at controlling the spread of the COVID virus and is universally
recommended according to “the science” are deliberately ignoring the evidence
to the contrary. It is they who are propagating false and misleading information.

Those who say it is unethical, even dangerous, to question broad population mask
mandates must also explain why many top infectious disease scientists and public
health organizations question the efficacy of general population masking
    . Tom
Jefferson and Carl Heneghan of the University of Oxford’s Centre for
Evidence-Based Medicine, for instance, wrote that “despite two decades of
pandemic preparedness, there is considerable uncertainty as to the value of
    wearing masks.”
Oxford epidemiologist Sunetra Gupta says there is no need
for masks unless one is elderly or high risk.
    Stanford’s Jay Bhattacharya has
said that “mask mandates are not supported by the scientific data. . . . There
is no scientific evidence that mask mandates work to slow the spread of the
    disease.”

The idea that there has been 2 MONTHS of pandemic preparedness is total crap. There was ZERO preparedness.

One can tell by noting that we didn't have enough PPE to come anywhere CLOSE to protecting hospital staff. And, the reason we didnt' is that we explicitly refused to do so. There were explicit decisions NOT to be prepared.

The Barrington direction signed by your zoologist suggests we should totally ignore the pandemic and simply withstand the death count until we reach herd immunity.

The epidemiological sciences state the death count from that direction would be GIGANTIC even compared to what we have experienced today, overwhelming our hospitals. And, the nature of this pandemic suggests that achieving herd immunity in that way isn't even likely to happen.

One of the major assumptions being made here is that what we have experienced is no better than what we would have experienced had there been no restrictions.

Thus IDIOTS can say masks, social distancing, etc. did nothing!

But, that assumption is just plain stupid. We've seen the outbreaks that have taken placce where people are encouraged to ignore preventive measures - meat packing plants, the vacation travel surge, the almost totally uninhibited international travel even to pandemic hotspots, etc.

Today, epidemiologists note that almost all the stains of COVID in the USA came to us through Europe - NOT China. Now, idiots want to claim that travel is no an issue!!

==> What has happened is that the behavior we have exhibited achieved the outcome we see today.

Had we done a better job, there is absolutely NO reason to believe we would have lost so many Americans to this pandemic.

Not at all, as a Democrat voter, you possess greater insight and superior intelligence over me. I'm a non-partisan and incapable of loyally following any political party; that is my weakness. I admire Democrat voters such as yourself for arriving at the conclusion that the Democrat party position is the correct position for all things.

But that does not mean it has not been "dealt with".

In 1960 the flu killed more than 5.3 million people in this country alone. In 2017 it was only 1.4.

It is true that I do possess greater insight and superior intelligence over you. But I am not a Dem voter, I have voted for one Dem in my life time for POTUS and that was in the 90s. That was also the last time I voted for anyone from the duopoly for POTUS. Since that time you could count on one hand the number of Senators from the duopoly I have voted for and on two the number of Reps.

Just because I am not a CT nut does not make me a Dem voter.

I have never posted the Democrat party line, not sure where you get that from unless you think that facts and truth are only belong to the Democrat party.

My view of COVID-19 is based just about 100% on the information I get from my wife and her fellow medical professionals. As a Critical Care nurse she has spent the last year treating these patients, often spending 12 hour shifts in a negative pressure area.

As I told one other person on here, my choice is to believe what my wife has told me over the last year or to assume she has lied to me and trust some conspiracy theory nuts on the internet.

Which way do you think I am going to lean?

Am I posting the Dem party line in this thread...http://www.politicalforum.com/index...ut-no-solutions.586251/page-3#post-1072522521

Then why should we remove the masks at all? It sounds like that’s a good way of keeping the flu and covid in check.

Because wearing mask for the rest of our lives is not a workable solution. There are better ways to mitigate the harm from viruses once you have them under control. If you wish to keep wearing a mask I think that is a fine thing for you to do. They should not stay mandatory. I personally would like to see the US become like many Asian countries where people freely choose to wear mask when they are sick and have to be out in public. When I first moved to Japan I was taken back by people with mask on in the Subway and other places. But then it was explained to me they did so as a common practice to keep from spread germs as much.
