    All the more reason to build the wall. Ignorant people will be discouraged from trying to drag small children across a desert. I personally think Australia has the correct immigration strategy. If they make it into your country alive, you confine them on an island until they can be returned home and ban them from ever receiving legal immigration status.

    No, lets blame the Democrats. If they has approved the funding for the wall the father and child would never have been able to enter the US illegally. In fact if they knew that, they may not even have tried, and the girl would be alive today.

    Don't blame me, I'm just going off the only evidence we have - namely the opinion of the hospital staff that treated her. From the article linked in your OP. And they determined that she died of septic shock, fever and dehydration.

    Let's hope an autopsy clears more of this up.

    yup I've seen that close up no sweating... mental alertness is a subjective call depends on the experience of the person observing...

    anyone who has had sick kids will tell you dehydration in a child will get them immediate admittance in an ER, it's a very quick killer of kids...I almost lost one of mine to dehydration...the dehydration was brought on by an illness but it was the dehydration that nearly killed her, they had an iv in her within minutes of arrival at the ER...

    read post 122... the claim is that she was fine. You go tell me how they spot that she's fine and 8 hours later she is dead from dehydration.

    So your saying BP and DHS ordered her to travel here?
    They should be ashamed for making that kid cross over deserts and starve her to death.
    How many more children will die by the hands of their parents wanting a free ride off America? Child sacrifice is all it is.

    Septicaemia would have had to percolate for a while before it reached seizure and organ failure stage. As in, the girl was likely ill for a few weeks - or days as a minimum. Either way she'd have been ill before attempting to cross. Very very sad that her parents didn't reconsider their plan.

    Meantime, I note that someone here is suggesting all invaders (and anyone entering the nation illegally is an invader - including those making bogus requests for asylum) are checked to ensure they feel well and happy, upon arrival.

    Dreams really can come true.

    Only a complete moron would think a child could die from starvation and dehydration in 8 hours. The kid was dying long before she got here.

    Okay, that's different. Sounds as though she expired due to the combined effects of heat stroke and dehydration. A result of crossing unprepared. Incredibly sad that she was made to do it, under such poor parental care.

    Heat stroke CAN kill you in 8 hours. Coupled with very poor parental care (dehydration etc), in a young child it can be very fast.

    Hundreds of 1000s of America's kids die every month from disease ,crime and drugs brought in by these same kinds of people but you open border so called caring libs don't give a damn about America or its children and you also don't give a damn about this poor little abused by her father illegal either.
