LTNS, Daise. Its been cold enough to snow here, but very dry. Last night we had thunderstorms. Weird Feb.

 

I like Bill Bennett also.But he's a Fuddy-duddy.Never as
much as smoked a joint in his life.Used to kind of boast about
his time at the University of Texas and catching a kind of
secondary hight from all the Pot Smoke filtering down the halls
in his dorm.He's one of those guys who lives for White Priviledge.
I don't like the term,but if it fits.My Older brother is a spittin image of
Bill Bennett.They look very similar.Have the same mindset.Live their lives
in the same Victorian manner { Very Nice home and Very dutiful
Wife and Kids that they brought up in a White Priviledge POV.}
I may be wrong but I think Mike Gallagher {Talk Radio } was referring
to Bill Bennett a few years ago when he talked to him about a certain
subject.Gallagher's wife Died about 7 years ago and she was kinda
Liberal.Mike once did a show about a TV series where mostly
Black men are the dates.Some bachelor show.And his wife kinda
liked some of those Black Bachelors.I think it was Bill Bennett
he was referring to when he said the Guy {Bennett } found that appalling.
Like no way would his wife ever think that.Not possible.
That is when I discovered a new side to Bill Bennett.The Bigot side.
Bill Bennett would surely fit the bill.He was a Bigot about Pot and
Potheads.And those who don't fit his limited mindset about what kind
of work they do and education level.Plus Bill Bennet used to frequent this
high class restaurant and have a special rountable of his buddies
at this table they always had reserved.Like he held court at that Table.
Bennett was taken down a few notches,years ago when his Gambling
addiction went rogue.So ... Pot is a Big No No and Gambling { often }
was quite American.

 

Today is my "Saturday".

So I am celebrating with mescal tequila chased with crimson plumb wine !!

 

we're in trying times, they thin the herd when people fall over with heart attacks shoveling snow, be careful.

Not sure about that.King became wildly popular as an author in
the 70's after - Carrie - and by 1980 decided to write his own
scripts.King did not like at all the adaptation of - The Shining -
feeling it lacked much of the book.However King did a turn at
directing with - Maximum Overdrive - { 1986 } which was truly abysmal.
Keep in mind King has done other than horror { which is what he
is known for }.
He wrote the short story - " Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption " -.
Which was not a short movie { 2hrs.22 min. }.

 

Aren't you a tad concerned in how different drinks mix.
Granted Tequila is pretty mixable.Not so sure about the crimson
plumb wine.I bought some Cognac the other day and it was
a very expensive bottle.The guy checking me out { it was the
Store Mngr. } since I used a lot of big bills,Made the comment
about maybe I should get some Mountain dew as mixer.

Just seeing the title is enough. I saw Wild Cherry yesterday and had Play That Funky Music White Boy in my mind all afternoon.

Who's got a big weekend planned?

 

I do.....I plan to survive the 3-6inches of snow that we will get tonight and then the 6-8 inches of Snow for tomorrow night into Saturday.

Then when they get all the roads plowed by Saturday Midnight it will be a celebration. Kool and the Gang Style.

 

Buy tequila while you can. They have apparently had a crop failure in Mexico - not sure why.

Update.....now about that 6-8inches of snow. Well, they changed all of that to 9-12 inches of snow lasting until late Saturday morning.

 

I bought his book "The book of virtues" a neighbor borrowed it to read to her son, I never saw my book again.
So much for the virtue of returning something you borrow. Guess the virtue part went over her head.

The problem with Bennett is that he plays favorites.Very judgemental
on others,based in Educational level mostly but also their clothes,
their hair and if they a Family man or no.
I Think Bill Bennett is the kind of guy a Hunter S. Thompson
and a Charles Bukowski would pick a fight with if in a bar.
Even though Bennett is a big guy and also played football.
Bennet has successfully Emasculated.There are TWO Bill Bennets.
The Family man standing with his beloved wife Elaine and talking
with adopted slight lisp { how Victorian }
And the guy in the Sports bar with a drink { martini } in hand
talking Football as if Pop Warner in the middle of a huddle.

 

Today is my Sunday. I had yesterday and have today off.

 

Since today is my Sunday I won't drink alcohol today -- it is my detox day.

Also my detox day from coffee too. And tea.

I like to clean my body out one day each week of all chemicals.

So milk and juice are the only beverages I will have today.

Orange juice, grapefruit juice, and lemonade are my favorites.

 

Good routines help keep us alive.

 

Yup you need strict rules if you want to imbibe.

Detox Day is one of mine.

 

Few people realize that coffee and tea are drugs too.

And these two also require a detox day as well.

 

Eat, drink and be merry are good routines, eh? So is burning the candle at both ends. Dam, I must be healthy!

 

Try a detox day @Smartmouthwoman completely without any coffee, tea, or alcohol, and substitute fruit juices instead, and THEN you will be healthy.

 

And attack my friends?

No thanks... some folks need booze to remain civil.
