    Will do. Flying up tonight actually. Have to visit the county assessor to get my forest exemption, meet with the power company to get power brought in, meet with a couple of well drillers for some bids, stake out the location for the house and shop so I can drop 2 40’ shipping containers so they will be near the shop but not too close to interfere with any building projects. Also a few honeydoo’s all before my flight back Sunday.
    Whew! Getting thirsty just thinking about it.

    Gee I dunno.When a crow crows I don't think that be a good omen.
    I mean,Edgar Allen Poe wrote about dat kinda stuff.
    I guess it beats 40 acres and a Mule.
    You do Have a Mule,I take it.I mean,like they have come in handy
    when Out West during the Gold Rush.

    I have been working on my shed. I have been using reclaimed lumber for the inside. 20200205_100153.jpg I am turning it into a fish room. The walls are 1×4 t&g heart pine and the shelves are built from old reclaimed 2bys and rough cut pine. 20200205_161319.jpg everything is reclaimed ... Even the nails were leftover from somewhere. I face nailed the t&g because it was easy and less time consuming. It is a work in progress. Fish tanks will sit on the shelves. I get little help so most of the time I am on my own.

    Fish room? You mean like aquariums with fish? Or a shed to gut catfish you catch?

    (Nice shed... love the wood) :)

    I have been investigating aquaculture for a while now. I wanted Tilapia but they take heat in the winter or they die besides, I don't really like the fish. I wanted to do Redclaw crayfish but but they take heat and stock is expensive. I have been doing some field measurements and tropical species are too expensive. So I ordered 10 Louisiana swamp crayfish. 20191025_130131.jpg eventually crayfish will end up here. I will let them eat these plants until I can get the roots untangled from being eaten. 20191204_160836.jpg they will also be seeded in this pond after I get this pond tangled with weeds. That way no outside heat source is required. I will eventually have a framed and removable glass top for my filter pond. The glass will keep the pond from freezing.... the filter pond and the top pond.

    Are you going to sell them or just have crawfish boils for your family?
    Just read your post about having crawfish goats...never heard of that before.

    Right now I just want to keep them alive. I don't think I can produce enough to sell. I will get 10 crayfish Friday. Will probably start them in the shed ... and in a tank till I get babies... That is... if it works out. I have an 80 gallon tank built from reclaimed glass that has been sitting empty for several weeks. I am also setting up a homemade 17 gallon tank.

    The "plant pond" consists of different water plants and some comet goldfish. I have water Lilly , Pickerel rush, Flag Iris, and Arrowhead plants. The stuff is so tangled I can't get the plants out. I am hoping crawdads will feed on the plant roots and loosen them up. I probably won't have to feed the crawdads for a while. They should reproduce naturally with seasonal changes. My goldfish do it.

    Oh Boy.It was imminent.He was one of my top 4 Male Leads from
    the 50's and 60's.I can't possibly name the number of Intense roles
    he performed in.From - The Champion - {1949 } to a classic
    - Ace in the Hole - { 1951 } to - Detective Story - { 1951 }.
    I am still holding out I can get a DVD of - Detective Story -. Was truly
    one of a kind { never be another like him }. He was both Original
    and dynamic.One of my favorite Kirk Movies was - Lonely are the Brave - { 1962 }
    Of course - Spartacus - { 1960 } which he Produced and made possible.
    Also - Produced - Seven Days in May - {1964 } another classic.
    and - Seconds - { 1966 } as Co-producer.
    To name but a few.
    His last noticeable role in a meaningful Kirk feature being
    - Eddie Macon's Run - { 1983 } which I have never seen start
    to end.
    Nor - The Fury - and - The Chosen - which parts I've seen appear
    quite interesting.
    The Last Movie I've seen was one I bought - The Heroes of Telemark {1965 }
    which is very good.Especially in winter.
    I religiously watch - Lonely are the Brave - every year.

    Russian Jews were historically hard nuts to crack.His bio reveals
    his Parents spoke Yiddish at home.
    His name as kid growing up in the state of New York was
    Izzy Demsky.His father's last name was Danielovich.
    They adopted use of the name Demsky as Kirk's Father's brother
    did.Mr.Douglas in his 1988 Autobiography noted the hardships he,his
    6 sisters and parents faced while in Amsterdam,N.Y.
    Looking at the 3 movies I mentioned :
    - Champion - { 1949 }
    - Ace in the Hole - { 1951 }
    - Detective Story - { 1951 }
    Dramatically are proof as to just how tough a nut Kirk Douglas
    was an an actor.His performances leave no doubt.
    There may be a special award coming his way at the Academy Awards.
    Maybe the Thalberg Award.He can't technically be mentioned along with
    the long list of Hollywoods recent deaths { 2019 }.It is rare for an actor
    to receive a Thalberg,meant for Producers and the like.
    But Warren Beatty and Clint Eastwood both won the award in the
    1990's.
    Why on earth my Favorite Director { Billy Wilder } had to wait
    until 1987 to receive one is incomprehensible.Given
    Steven Spielberg received his a year earlier { 1986 }
    Proof as to how Funky Hollywood can be.
    Kirk was seldom funky in any role.One tough cookie as an
    actor and in real life.

    The problem I have with fish and Fish tanks is the Tanks and the
    trickiness of keeping fish healthy.I think I had a couple fish tanks
    as a kid growing up.Plus about every mode of cute furry critter imaginable.
    Like I said,earlier ... Iguana are not good pets.Nor are Monkeys.
    Far and away my most expensive pet was a Rhesus monkey.
    I remember that Monkey cost $ 210 in the 70's. Plus a monkey
    requires a big metal cage for them to go crazy in.
    I saw something the other day on a site but the site never showed
    what the Title was about.A Title about how a person developed a
    Mouse garden.A virtual Mouse playland.I know there are Tortoise
    playpens.However Mice don't live very long.

    A local here makes some beautiful Damascus knives. Hand hewn handles. A little out of my price range, but wonderful to see and handle, well balanced.

    I get it.Like building a new roof.Or a new sewage line.
    Not like how dreary it can be to take out the garbage.
    Or check the mail.Scold the neighbor dog for barking all night.
