Smartie's Bar & Grill #73

I wont say a word. Promise.
I worked on a road crew for a short time in between jobs. I flagged traffic for them because I was certified. I would fill up the big red water cooler strapped to the side of the truck with water, ice and cans of beer. The guys enjoyed me working with them. I lived by a code of silence and I was the chick who was there to ensure no one got mowed down and we all went home happy.

 

Im getting ready to fry eggplant for eggplant parmesan for dinner.
It tastes better if you play Italian music when you make it.

An Italian must have moved into the neighborhood. I see fig trees, hear Italian music and it smells like someones cooking something really good.

La, la, la, laaaaaaaa.........

 

I was dreaming this morning when the alarm went off. I woke up and remembered the dream.

I went to some place with a friend of mine. It was important I went there but cant remember why. It was a big closed in area with a bunch of weird people. I thought, this place is way to weird for even me and thought I need to leave. I was looking for my friend and came upon a woman sitting in a hospital bedside lounge chair. She had an IV set up and it was leaking all over her. I said to her where is the person taking care of you. This IV is set up wrong. She said, she left with your drunk friend. I thought, my friend left me here and this IV cant stay like this. Should I fix this IV and how the hell am I getting home. I fixed the IV for the woman and looked up to a balcony area and saw a woman sitting in a chair watching us that looked like Greta VanSustern. I said to the IV woman is that Greta VanSustern and she said yes and then I woke up.

No clue what the meaning of the dream was.

 

I had cubed boneless pork marinated in red wine vinegar with cucumber sauce over pocketless pita bread and a black bottom cupcake for desert. I did not get any of the recipes from Greta. Ahahaha

 

That sounds like it could be it. That was a great interpretation!
Here's the thing about China, the pandemic and the politics that it encompasses.
When I heard this was a problem in China, it was a red flag. China killed our dog Bubba with melamine and I was insane with it. I dont trust the leadership of China or products that come out of China, because they are complicate in killing my dog and eating dogs. I like dogs. I was so insane with them killing our dog, I signed us up as part of a class action suit. I saved the labels of Nutro dog food and told the vet to give me a read out of the exact reason the dog died. It was kidney failure. For Bubba's sake, I was gonna make someone pay for murdering him. lol still get hot thinking about it.
I prepared for the worst when it was making news in China. I figured prepare because of our location and knowing it would be bad. I prepared as if we would get sick and made sure we had what we would need. I stopped worrying about money years ago. Not because we are loaded and there was no need to worry. Because Ive had a lot and lost it all once before and survived. A good friend of mine told me never worry about what money can replace. People are important, not things. My MIL always use to say dont worry about money, it always comes from somewhere. Plus we are not isolated in any financial situations now. Many people are in the same situation, so they wont let everyone sink. I felt that lift the worry. Greta always seemed fair minded to me as a news personality. I dont know what she is doing now other than watching me from a balcony fix an IV. lol

 

Did you notice a short while after we started talking in the bar about Chinese food and domestic animals in the cooler, this pandemic was in the news?
It takes a lot of planning for a coincidence to happen.
