Um ... The way I see it is ... The way I see it.
Why should I see it any other way.
Does any other way see it as I see it.Does any other way care that
I see it my way.Why should I care if any other way don't.
I mean,If turnabout is fair play then I say that any other way should
    start seein' it My Way.
    Fergit about the Highway.
We'll come to that crossroad later.
Even if My way is the Highway.
    To Heaven ... God willing.
As long as God see's it my Way.
    As well.

Who says I'ms a barfly.I never gave permission to use that word
to describe Me.If I was me a barfly like Mickey Rourke then I'd also have
a nice chickey pooh like Faye Dunaway stashed in the bathroom ready to
spank her bottom fir me and snap that fancy garter belt ... is what.
So you can clearly see I ain't me no barfly.

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes Smartie and MMC. It's off to a good one. I woke up to pretty packages on the dining room table and got breakfast served to me in my P.J.'s., friends calling and birthday wishes from my Internet pals. Sometime today I have to go to the DMV and get my picture taken. Hope I have a good hair day. It really sucks when you end up with a bad picture and have to look at it for the next 4 years. Cheers!

Pick your next favorite color...I think???

Virgo is a neat sign.. They love to have everything just so...no half way with them, it has to be perfect or forget it.
    Drives my family crazy.

I've noticed that about the other links. I know it's just for fun.
Fave foods, drinks, vacation spots, etc... Only one was listed. I had
    to compromise on the rest.

I'm old enough to be able to remember places like this! They used to be found in just about all smaller Texas towns back in the '60's and '70's. But, after "Willie, Waylon, and the boys" and all that "Texana" stuff that just kind of came out of nowhere, it all became kind of artificial and improvised.

Boy, that was a different time, and Texas was a different place in many ways. Nearly everybody smoked cigarettes (which was very bad), but we all drank beer. Ice, cold beer, because in so much of Texas it is hotter than hell, and, pretty damn humid about eight months out of the year, especially in Central Texas.
We drank oceans of Lone Star and Pearl beer (either of which was a guaranteed hangover), but also the unofficial State "micro-brew" -- SHINER! Shiner is brewed, of course, in Shiner, Texas, by descendants of the Bohemians who migrated to Texas well over a hundred years ago, and they make really fine beer. They make a Bock beer that comes up on you slowly, and kicks your ass! And it really tastes great -- especially if the beer's ice cold, and the day is hotter than hell.

Hey, any of you people remember the One Knite Dive and Tavern in Austin? Back in the '70's you'd see Stevie Ray and a lot of other people just playing, drinking, and hell-raising there. We'll never have days like those again....

I was born in Texas, lived there quite a lot, got my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and would move back there in a heartbeat if the climate and property taxes weren't so horrible. I live in Colorado now, and have for a long time. But I miss the PEOPLE OF THE Lone Star State a LOT. I wish I could import about a million of them up here in Colorado, and send a million hyperliberal, Left-wing liberals down to Texas in exchange. Damned liberals have almost ruined Colorado, although, I'm GLAD we have legalized marijuana up here. It adds tax revenue!

Well then how far Not into the city aren't you.
Other side of the Washington Bridge.Maybe Staten Island.
Or the wrong side of old hells kitchen. Maybe like that side of the city
    where Susan Berman starred in - Smithereens - {1982 }
Which explains why so-called artist/poets like Patti Smith came of age.
However doesn't explain why Sam Wagstaff took an interest in the puke-faced
    snot-ragged dressed little Orphan Annie.
Let alone those like Brigid Berlin who still traverse their old haunts even after
years of youthful abuse. The best thing about New York city is the convenient excuse
It gave me bad manners. And habits.

Nice to see you in the bar, darlin. :) Still plenty of small town Texas honky tonks... it's mainly the big cities that have gone to hell in a handbasket. Austin is going fast. Saw a teeshirt the other day "DONT DALLAS MY AUSTIN!" Afraid they're too late... it's growing by leaps and bounds. :(

I've probably mentioned Shiner Beer at PF no less than 4 times while at this
Pop stand. It's a fairly good brew, and the Bock is their standard.

This is a question about the Dallas area.

Do you remember a burger joint called "Charlie Brown's? It was shaped like
a hamburger and was east of I-35 in Dallas. My youngest brother still has
    a bag from the place.

I lived in Austin in the mid/late 70's. I just found out the the Arroyo is
still open. We'd bet on which rat would make it across the kitchen before
being kicked at or have a rag thrown at it while we were awaiting seating.

Sir Doug, of the Sir Douglas Quintet, was a regular at a place
we called the Bakery. It was on a 4 lane street. Oh, and the drummer for
Bloodrock was a resident as well. Jim something.

I was too busy trying to be a rock star. Now that I think of it, the ex rock
stars in town were trying to do the same thing, and they had a foot in
the door (dore fer Tejas speakers)
