what do you think I mean, build as in build a new school, Christian, Muslim, whatever

when you offer easy money to religions, many will want to take that hand out, not just Christians

"Vouchers can be used for Muslim Schools? OOPS!"

Public schools don't choose based on any of those.
They have to take any student that lives in the district of that school. They can't tell a student they can not attend if they live in the district.

I always go by standard dictionary definitions. Some words have more than 1 definition, then technically they all would be included.
If we don't use standardized words, we can't have laws or have meaningful discussions.

It’s not just about students. But yes, according to Dept. Of Education protected classes of students are excluded from public schools. Here is one example where a clinical psychologist points out race and disability discrimination in public schools.

    https://hechingerreport.org/opinion-we-must-stop-the-criminalization-of-mental-illness-in-schools/

And tax money supporting discrimination extends to the employee side of the equation as well. That’s why I mentioned the NEA that makes employment decisions based on race and gender and other protected classes.

Great. Here is Amnesty International’s definition.
    And Miriam Webster.

Is this what you are referring to?

What's your solution for NOW? If you don't have a solution, just say so.

    absolurely true.

serves several elite interests : destroy the teachers unions and the union teachers.

keep mothers out of the workplace at "home school"

schools represent valuable real estate that can be developed for huge profits by well connected persons.

genetics or education? if you consider a population to be suboptimum genetically, why waste money on their education?

1sr amendment. (as well as history. catholic schools were, and are, the best schools in many areas. "

"give me a boy before he is 7 and he is mine forever" st ignatious loyola (and yes, the best schools in america are taught by jesuits)

Quote ONE SINGLE Republican saying that they want to destroy public schools.

What interest would they have in keeping mothers out of the workplace?

Who considers what population to be suboptimal genetically?

yep, if you're going to offer people vouchers, they build new schools to get that $$$

did you think only Christians wanted that easy money? While being able to push their religion on children at the same time?

I think we should raise the taxes on the rich and build a giant school in every rural area for every religion, that do ya?

Seriously, if there is not enough people in a rural area, they will have to home school or move, just the reality of it

My point about discrimination is only about students.
If a pvt school wants public money, they need to take any students who apply without discrimination of those protected classes.

Your link is a bit of a stretch in claiming discrimination. It's a societal issue, not just a public school issue.
    According to your link:

    ...
he band hall has long been his refuge, where he retreats to get lost in the comfort of music. But last semester, after a series of absences and missed assignments, he was temporarily suspended from playing in the high school band. His suspension was no surprise; it is the latest in a string of punishments by adults who do not understand his depression. And it is just one small example of how our society punishes and criminalizes, rather than prevents and treats, mental health problems.
    ...

    It is.

AA will give precedence in some cases of minorities over non minorities as a means of catching those groups of to the status level of non minorities.
It's rare and about all amounts to is one may have to go to a different place.

But without AA, minorities were never given an opportunity under any circumstance. A distinct difference.
You ever read about separate bathrooms, drinking fountains, bus seats, etc for some?
Or not even being eligible to vote, ever. Based on being a minority?

AA never permits the non minority from getting a position, it may just not be the #1 option for a very small # of non minorities

Why only religious schools? What about the non-religious families?

So everyone should live in the city?

How can a school be built if it's already built? You're no longer making sense.
