    Nothing was "padded". Those people existed as registered voters in Los Angeles at some point in time, and if they cannot be located, they will be purged from the voter records.

    Seems the system is working as intended.

    Republicans oppose everything that might make voting easier or increase turnout. Even in RW states where they HAVE voter ID laws, they limit absentee voting, close polling places, restrict early voting, and make it more difficult for college students

    This rightist Trump supporter supports vote by mail so long as the ballots are kept for a good while. I would support replacing ALL electronic voting with mail voting (and making electronic voting illegal- we're already ruled by the tech giants, no reason to let them vote in our stead).

    Again, those are not generally considered "part of the story", as they have no relation to the author(s) of the piece.
