Scratch that idea then. Let’s just amend the Constitution to make Trump President for life?

Trump should just declare martial law until the Covid 19 Chinese virus is under control.

Now just think how easy it would be to cheat the system if you so choose. This stuff is common sense and the left knows it. I could easily fill out hundreds and hundreds of ballots for people, hell is anyone really going to check they're even registered to vote. If I was going to cheat it I would sign myself and mail them in, how would they catch me? That's the issue, its a helluva a lot harder and riskier to walk to a voting station give a fake name have it checked off and vote. This stuff is common sense and some lefties on here are trolling this or acting dumb.

How many millions of those cards are currently allowing undocumented workers to work? It seems now you want them to vote a well..... Shocking.

My parents do as well, since they became snowbirds. It was a process however, they enrolled for that, it wasnt automatic. I haven't explored this but are politicians suggesting that we bypass that step and blanket mail out millions of ballots to every registered voter?

There is no evidence of that.

Here is the deal. They are very organized and they will register everybody they can which is legal. They are especially fond of colleges and nursing homes. The colleges are great because these kids may have the opportunity to vote in two states. Once the mail-in ballots are in hand it is very easy to persuade the individual as to how to correctly mark their ballot. I saw this in the senior care center my mother lived in for years. In their case, at that time they called it absentee ballots. Suddenly lots of "new visitors" that we're happy to help.
    Rules should be,
Voting only during a 24hr open polling place
Voting permitted in person with a valid photo ID
Every voter gets their finger pressed in indelible ink that will not come off for two days.
Any ballots from absentee voters, those with two residents can be mailed but not counted unless the race is close enough that those ballots may change the result.

To be fair it’s not a process at all. I just request a ballot my mail and they send it to me.

I love it because it avoids the polling place all together. It also avoids the people standing out front trying to solicit my vote.

1: The federal government does not have the power to mandate -the- means of voting to the states
2: Understandably, the GOP - along with all honest people of all political persuasions - opposes making it easier for the Democrats to cheat.

Here's one problem with mail in ballots. The USPS. There are of course no statistics on how much mail they lose because... well...how can you count what you lost when most of the time you don't even know you lost it? But the fact is...they do lose mail. How many votes are not counted because they were lost? How many would be lost if the whole country went to vote by mail?

Additionally right now its questionable as to how much longer the USPS can be sustained. They are always losing money. When the government finally gives up on it and it folds what will happen then? Are you really wanting to trust private corporations with ballots? And lets face it, USPS is becoming, if its not already, an outmoded way of communicating. Frankly I'm surprised that its still around. I can't even recall the last time I used it. All I ever get in the mail is advertisements. And I just throw those in the trash. And the only reason I have a mail box is because it comes with the apartment I live in. Everything I have delivered to my place comes from Fedex or UPS.

Additionally there are many states that automatically registered anyone that gets a drivers license. In Florida alone over 24 thousand voting irregularities were found last year. Including double voting and dead people voting. Not to mention hundreds of illegals registered to vote. Does that mean they voted? No. It also does not mean that they didn't vote... because it isn't checked. Remember, Obama said that they don't check for citizenship. And when Trump tried to actually find out guess what happened? Every single Democrat State fought tooth and nail to prevent it. Why? Why are Democrats so against trying to find out if illegals voted or not?

Right, you request it. It's a process, but not a complicated one.

Are states suggesting they skip the "process " however simple it may be and go right to the mailbox with every registered owner??

I see no issue with requesting one, but I dont like just sending out millions of ballots to millions of mailboxes without them going through the formal process.

Not sure the plan has been all out together. Why spend a lot of money one on something if they aren’t going to be allowed to.

I witnessed that in my mother's care center. They went from person to person and "helped" them with their provisional ballots. I visited her on a daily basis and one day she had me look at what those nice people filled out for her.
Think for a minute, it is very easy to do and you should be just as concerned as I am.

Early voting for me has never been a crowded experience and I've done that for a decade, much better than the grocery store.

Why run the risk? The GOP are trying to introduce voting ID to stop voter fraud, increasing the ability to use postal votes would negate that?

....and that happens how often? How is it any different than you assisting someone at the polls and helping them ;) vote.
