Not likely the sole cause without the pilots figuring it out. I am more inclined to lean toward rapid depressurization at this point. That the plane had descended to 12K feet may not be a coincidence--that is the altitude above which planes are required to carry oxygen because the air becomes to thin to sustain life.

The two Iranians were cleared by INTERPOL and the FBI. Neither one of them were on the terror watch list. In fact, they were dissidents of the current Iranian regime. By going on a flight to China will disprove this was a terrorist attack.

I strongly suspect this was the same story as the Egyptair crash, where the pilot put the plane into Allah's hands by piloting it into the Atlantic. Same ()()()() different ocean.
They were dissidents to the current regime. If they are not part of the terrorist watch list, there is nothing that they could do. You cannot make that determination based on the lack of evidence.
I'm 95% convinced foul play here, either by a hijacker or the pilots. When Malaysian ATC told them to switch to Vietnamese ATC, someone simply said, "Alright, Goodnight." Well how long does it take to switch comms in that area, on that time of day? If it's not busy, pilots are expected to check in within 30 secs to 1 min or so. In places like O'Hare, where there is frequency congestion, they might have to wait longer to make initial contact. But from Malaysia to Vietnam? Probably no congestion. We know the pilots never reported in. So somehow, within that 30 secs to 1 minute between ATC facilities and a calm "Goodnight", we have catastrophic failure of ALL communications systems in the plane, BUT, not catastrophic enough to prevent the plane from turning 180 degrees and flying another 7 hours. That's unbelievable.
It's a current event. If the communications transfer and turn indeed occurred as they have been reported in the media, then almost certainly an airliner was hijacked. I'd say a hijacked airliner with no indication as to who or why 2 weeks later, qualifies as legitimate news.
