Six states in the south are seeing rapid growth in the share of national gross domestic product (GDP) as people flock to the region, while states in the northeast are faltering, Bloomberg reported.

Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Georgia and Tennessee are in the middle of a $100 billion wealth migration that started during the COVID-19 pandemic as businesses and people moved south, according to Bloomberg. States in the northeast lost approximately $60 billion in 2020 and 2021, falling behind the six southern states in collective GDP for the first time…

…Southeastern states were responsible for more than two-thirds of all job growth across the U.S. since early 2020 and are home to 10 of the 15 fastest-growing American large cities, according to Bloomberg. Around 2.2 million people have moved to the region in over two years….

Red states are booming still while the blue ones are in recession. It is the red states that are keeping the US out of recession. Job growth in the red states force the fed to raise interest rates to counter Bidenflation which then further depresses blue cities. There are red areas in blue states that are doing ok.

“Drive along the 240-mile stretch of the Atlantic coast from Charleston, South Carolina, through the grassy marsh land of southern Georgia and down into northern Florida, and you’ll see one of the most profound economic shifts in the US today.

Welcome to the New New South.

Electric-vehicle factories and battery plants are overtaking pine forests in this region of antebellum architecture and shrimp and grits. More broadly, the entire South from here, north to Kentucky and west to Texas is where businesses are moving to, jobs are being created and homes are being bought. The uplift isn’t happening equally everywhere, or equally for everyone. But the implications for the entire country are enormous.

The numbers tell the story. For the first time, six fast-growing states in the South — Florida, Texas, Georgia, the Carolinas and Tennessee — are contributing more to the national GDP than the Northeast, with its Washington-New York-Boston corridor”

    This is great news!

As people migrate and cities grow those citizens will expect more advanced services which will bring more highly educated jobs. As this happens the city will pull the bright red state towards being purple as the republican party has proven time and time again they are better suited to governing mostly vacant land.

One of the largest issues relating to democracy we have in this nation is the obscene and outdated electoral college further compounded by blue voters being packed into small districts. Any variance for this will be a great benefit to the nation as a whole.

You are correct. People with progressive beliefs are pouring out of crowded Democrat states and moving to bigger city areas in Republican states.

It has already begun to have political ramifications.

Conservatives leaving blue states for red counters the progressives. Besides a lot of progressives are leaving red areas too.

I see you haven’t seen the polling data coming from the groups moving. You are going to LOVE what is going to happen in the next 5 to 10 years.

Goes to show how utterly brain dead some people are. They vote and destroy their homes, complain when it goes to **** and move somewhere else voting the same yet expecting different results. It’s called insanity or more accurately, a virus. That brain virus, Leftism needs a purge. :)

We’ll see how FL leans in the next election. We all remember how close we dodged that last bullet. Nearly had a deviant crack whore for a governor. Hehe

It should tell you something about your own party when people would embrace a virus over it.

Something needs a purge alright. I think we will see that happen as the older demographics retire.

But they didn’t. FL voted the Dems out. And we survived COVID far better than other large states. But you didn’t answer the question. If people are leaving CA or NYC because theyre turning into lawless hellholes, how stupid do you have to be to vote the same type of people in which would turn ANOTHER state into a lawless hellhole? Isn’t that why you left?

And it’s not all young people embracing Leftism. But if they all are, there won’t be a country left anyway. Not sure what you’re so happy about?

Oh my!!!! One state full of retirees!
Who could have ever imagined the most conservative demographic voting conservative!

Thank you for your diligent efforts to bring this earth shattering information to us! How your governor polling nationally?

The number one reason most people are leaving big cities in numerous polls I have seen is costs — not crime.
If I am being honest — I would rather have no country than what many on the right dream this country should be.

I don’t agree with everything the left pushes but almost everything coming from the right anymore is evil. Trying to gut healthcare, cheering discrimination, theft of the will of the voters through extreme gerrymandering, installing hyper partisans against the wishes of the people, revoking bodily autonomy for women and girls, tax cuts for billionaires… honestly — what is one good mainstream universal policy your party has and adheres to?

Thats such an original thought for you!
“If you don’t like it leave” — did you come up with that all by yourself?

I adore how you didn’t even attempt to respond to either question. How funny!

It seems that it’s mostly but not all conservatives moving to red states and liberals moving to other still functioning blue states. There are liberals moving to places in red states usually moving with a company that moved. However there is evidence that liberals in cities in Texas and Florida have been moving to places like Colorado and Washington as those states have become more conservative. Even in moves within states, liberals and conservatives are moving away from areas dominated by the other side.

Ahhhhh we already have more advanced services and a highly educated workforce. One of the largest issues relating to our success as a country is relating to the republic we have with the various states so that the failure of some do not automatically bring about the failures of other but in fact can benefit them.

What is the successful big Democrat city I would want to live in?

Do you frequently ask an arbitrary question when you cannot answer the original question?

I have no idea where you would want to live and it depends on the definition of successful.

Are we talking about overall life expectancy and health rations? Dominated by blue cities
Are we talking about educational attainment and achievements that benefit mankind? Also, dominated by blue cities.
What about by overall GDP? Again, dominated by blue cities.

Or are you talking about poverty ratios and crime? This seems split between blue and red cities especially looking a per capita ratios.

Or maybe most vacant land represented by the electoral college? Red cities have finally found something they dominate in.
Receipt of most federal government subsidies? Also red cities and states
Lowest life expectancy, highest childhood mortality, highest rates of pollution… y’all “win” here again.

Use whatever fun analogy you want. I will enjoy watching what is happening. America is growing and pushing the cancer out.

You ask about Republican cities it is quite natural to ask about the alternative.

    Try again.

Better check your stats and take it down to the county level and see if those are Democrat cities and counties or Republican and what are the racial demographics.

Living in Los Angeles, I do not enjoy seeing the cancer spread to other parts of the country. You cannot make an honest case that dem control is better for society. I can easily make a case that it is worse. Unfortunately, results are not something devout partisans are willing to consider. none are so blind...
