No it has pretty much stayed the same. George Wallace was a BIG Populist. The title of his definitive biography is "George Wallace: American Populist". He was NOT a Conservative and he certainly was NOT a Republican. He was a blue collar Populist and also a Segregationist. His Populist views were similar to John Edwards but Edwards was not a Segregationist.

 

Wallace was a damned racist. Nothing else. Thank goodness, he is gone.

The problem with this victim mentality among blacks like yourself and Obama is it has become a tool to keep yourselves down and angry. I'm scotch Irish and as white as they come and I've been what you would call "harassed by cops" and if I were you I'm sure I'd have blamed it on being black. When I was in HS I had a job as a janitor cleaning office buildings at night and late one evening as I left one of the accounts through dark alley a cop pulled me over and made me get out of the car and spread eagle as he kept a flash light in my face and a hand on his gun. My car was full of janitorial supplies and it seemed perfectly obvious I was not up to no good but he harassed the **** out of me before letting me drive away. It happens no matter what your color is. Difference between me and this college professor is I cooperated and it was no big deal, five minutes and I was on my way. This dumb ass academic angry black man didn't cooperate and threw a temper tantrum and it escalated from there. Wise up, cooperate and you won't get thrown in jail or worse yet shot.
