if they are indeed safe to possess a gun, they should get back their gun rights.

YOUR obsession with letting dangerous mentally ill people be able to possess firearms puts Americans in danger.

Sounds like they are a SERIOUSLY CREDIBLE source of information since they are doing what the NRA pretends to do but is failing miserably.

Which small children engage in "criminal activity"?

How do we know if someone is dangerously mentally ill?

Why do you ask about "small children"? Gang members up to age 17, and sometimes even older, are classified as children with regards to homicide statistics.

There are two factors, minors are recruited into criminal activity since there is reluctance in charging them as adults, even when they commit serious crimes, and this calling 19 year olds "kids" is stretching a point.

Since Sandy Hook 1000 children under the age of 12 have been killed by guns.

    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/sandy-hook-nearly-1-000-kids-have-died-guns-n829486

Yesterday a child under 12 died and tomorrow another child under 12 will die because of guns.

How is this massacre acceptable to anyone, let alone gun owners and the NRA?

Irresponsible people, criminals, put their children in harms way,

"Deshawn Kinard (7 months old) was in the backseat of a car with his father when a car drove up beside them and opened fire. Police say Deshawn’s father, a gang-member who was feuding with another gang, was the likely target."

    "
Jamara (age 11) was killed when her 2-year-old brother was playing, along with two other siblings, with a handgun they found on top of the refrigerator."

These unfortunate young people are around and raised by vicious criminals that care nothing about their offspring, yet you blame law abiding citizens.

Unless you confiscate all guns, people will use them in homicides and suicides. Since Sandy Hook, according to CDC data, 628 children 12 and under were murdered with guns. 2,628 were murdered by other means. 109 firearm suicides; 333 non-firearm suicides. Why aren't these other deaths important to you?

    Who said they weren't?

However that is a DEFLECTION because it does NOT answer the pertinent question.

Why is this firearms massacre of children acceptable?

What makes you think it's acceptable?

The lack of outrage and the abject failure of the NRA to do anything practical and effective about reducing it.

The NRA trains more firearms safety instructors than any other organization in the world. Their lobbying arm works to protect 2A rights. Why should they be expected to solve the problems of gang violence, filicides and suicides, which account for most of the gun deaths of children 0-12?

I googled and didn't find anything for items like "March for car safety for children" or "Moms against fillicide". Given that four times as many children were murdered by non-firearm methods, it would appear that guns aren't even necessary to kill children. Most filicides of children 6 and under are committed with natural weapons, hands and feet, used in beatings, stranglings, suffocations and drownings.

Proposed Constitutional, effective, enforceable and necessary laws, and we can talk about them.

Translation: The deaths of children under 12 are acceptable to those who are allied with the NRA!

If that's the way your twisted logic works, sure. It seems your outrage is "kids are murdered with guns", not "kids are murdered", given that gun homicides account for 20% of those homicides yet it's all you focus on. You don't care about kids. You care about guns.

I suggest that you reacquaint yourself with the thread title and stop trying to deflect/derail from the topic.

The deaths of children under 12 are not an object lesson in the NRA's obstruction of gun control that would have ensured that guns were safer?

Should we give up our rights to protect children? Should we impose ineffective, unenforceable laws to protect children?

If you want to protect children you should march to overturn the 4th Amendment.
