    Jeff Bezos? Nah he wouldn't use robots to automate all his distribution centers. He's the second richest guy in the US and an ultra liberal. He even owns his own fake news paper, the Washington Post. He's so kind he gives free stuff to all democrats.

    actually you should be saying thanks internet. Other than fresh food I can't think of anything that is not cheaper and easier to get online. Last major purchase I made in a brick and mortar store was a new smart TV, that was simply because I wanted to see the picture quality in person rather than just a picture of a screen or going by subjective reviews. I would say fully 70 or 80% of our non food purchases are online now

    It's funny conservatives understand this one, but don't understand the decline of manufacturing jobs. Selectively rational, maybe. Still, it seems like this will make it harder for Trump to beat Obama's numbers.

    The Chinese are winning the online merchandising wars. I buy most of my online stuff from Aliexpress (Alibaba), Banggood, and DHGate.

    Its quite amazing the range of products available. The speed of new product introduction is astonishing.

    Nobody - Republican, Democrat - can bring back these stores. No government policy can do it.

    That high? You are outpacingoing me. I'm wallowing around 30% up from 20ish in 2015, might be 35+ before 2017 ends. Actually walmart.Com has moved quickly up my ladder and I'm not really thrilled that they have but it's practical and priced right. EBay is a close 2nd and u feel like at least there I'm still supporting the mom & pop along with regular Joe's

    How did you get that high? I'd be curious to see your primary sources.

    no sources just a seat of the pants guess. We are retired so food is our biggest consumable expense. 70 to 80 % is probably a bit high but other than household upkeep items from the local big box home and garden store we don't need or buy that much theses days that is not substantially cheaper and has a larger selection online. I do support my local craft brewery however :)

    I agree it is due to online, but I just read something this morning that kind of sent chills down my spine---they are redoing the credit scoring system. Basically many people with bad credit are going to see a big bump up and many people with very good credit will likely see their scores down-graded. They are going to ignore people's history of judgments and maxed out credit, and punish people with high available and unused credit as best as I can gather from the article
