It does not 'trap' any more than your own skin would, in its absence.
Yes it does. Here's a test. Get someone to spray you with a fine mist of water straight onto your face. Then do the same but just place a paper tissue in front of your face. Which scenario got your face the wettest?
Edit skin doesn't cover your mouth or nose
You have the strangest persecution complex fantasies.
Lots of places (whole counties in California- Eldorado, Placer, Solano for example) aren’t enforcing mask wearing. I popped over to Yolo county over the weekend (still under the mask order) but plenty of people not wearing masks inside of the stores and the employees ignored them. Home Depot is still pretty militant about it. People posted at the entrance and don’t allow you in without your mask on. I have a buddy back in Ohio who says bars and restaurants are open with only the occasional volunteer mask wearer seen.
The mask days are coming to an end and I expect more and more of the fringe to get themselves all weewee’d up about that.
I saw some elderly people the other day, they kept taking the surgical masks on and off, for them even that level of mask is hard to wear if they already have breathing problems, which is why it is more imperative for real men to wear masks in their presence. Oh, and wash hands after touching it. Squat to Leak young Republicans obviously can't handle a little discomfort.
Well, out of stock...the ones that the elderly might be able to wear longer:
Probably should use a good bright Orange spray paint, because I don't think they would get the science otherwise. https://www.google.com/search?ei=_l...&ved=0ahUKEwjv6sL3_9PpAhUEKqwKHWfqAEcQ4dUDCAs
Wear mask and Goggles any thing short of that and it's your own damn fault ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯
Sort of catchy way of saying Trump voter, not unlike calling the Biden voters/supporters Joe-Joes Kornpops I guess!
If anyone wearing a mask that moisture can migrate thru then so can the virus, that simple..
I'm sure you've done research on that, yea? Could you provide stats on your research such as what percentage of the virus load trapped in a mask subsequently escapes the surface tension of the mask fabric and makes its way into the mouth or nose. Perhaps the virus walks through the gaps in the mask
Nah I just wore one underground for 13 years is all. The respirator most people are wearing don't mitigate moisture so they soon become soaked and nothing more then a conduit front to back, that's just the way it is.. We had both types underground the paper were worthless and couldn't keep WET trona from migrating thru. The only one that did the job was one below where the filter was in front and it two exhaust ports on each side, worked somewhat like a heart valve! I would wash/rinse it at breaks and lunch and change the 1/4 in filter then too..
Oh and the filter would always be bone dry!
the Branch Covidians who worship CNN, MSNBC et al wear their home-made masks as if it's a symbol of superiority. It's become cult-like.
You never proved masks offer real protection.
N95 masks stop 95% of virus particles.
Surgical masks stop 50%.
cloth masks stop 3%.
Bandanas stop 1% or less
Most masks in public are cloth or bandana type. You are NOT protected. Neither is the family of 3.
it's become cult-like and watch how many leftists keep with the social distancing even 6 months from now. It's almost become an image of moral superiority which tends to be part of the personality of leftists; they easily follow cults
It's easy, you just put the straps around your ears. Don't do much good? Tell that to your doctor next time you have an operation.
Well I am sure that the left take their orders just like the rightest do from their fearless leaders... Now go out and claim that wearing a mask infringes on yer right to be a azz...
I know people on both sides of the isles that wears a mask it is not a political ideology it is a self preservation courtesy.
The virus is 100's times bigger than a trona molecule
To get through the mask it would be dissolved in water which would cause the compound to dissociate into individual molecules
Well that's what soda ash does bro and the virus doesn't dissociate into individual molecules We, well at least I'm talking about the COVID virus and mask media and moisture, I don't know where you're skipping off to
Who said the virus dissociates into separate molecules!. When a compound dissolves in water it breaks up into individual molecules. Soda Ash, a highly soluble compound, will break up into molecules of Sodium Carbonate when dissolved in water.
You've clearly never attended a chemistry lesson!
Yup same confusion I had reading the prior post of yours too LOL
When you say "stop virus particles," are you referring solely to the notion of the aerosolized version of the virus? I.e. the virus in isolation?
I would be willing to bet that even bandanas stop a higher percentage of the virus when the virus is carried in saliva or snot
Wouldn't be funny if it wasn't true.
The Wu Doomers are very cult-like. Just watch how they explode when anyone challenges their Truth™...
