    Let me get this straight ..they killed a religious figure that is prominent in the Christian faith but it is not ok to call that out?

    AWACs are defensive surveillance systems.

    Let's compare apples to apples.

    Name just one time the US has sold an Islamic country an offensive weapon equal to what it gives Israel.

    Since you're sure that there are other examples, this should be easy for you.

    The U.S. sold F-15 Eagles and M1 Abrams tanks which are definitely equal to anything Israel was sold.

    As for AWACs, AWACs are fully capable and used to coordinated OFFENSIVE air campaigns. Which is one big reason the Israelis staunchly opposed the Saudis buying them.

    Israel isn't "sold" anything, it is given whatever it demands of loyal American taxpayers.

    Neither the F-15 nor the M1 Abrams tanks are equivalent to what the US gives Israel and the Saudis have similar regional ambitions as their Israeli allies.

    Why do you believe that this is what the AIPAC executive director really said? It's a fake quote. I spent quite some time researching this matter. Couldn't find that New York Sun article in their digitized archive, but I found other sources mentioning this matter, and it's quite clear that Kohr never said those words.

    And how can you say that the F-15s sold to Saudi Arabia are not equivalent to the F-15s sold to Israel?

    Israel is unique among nations in that it is our only functioning and established Catspaw. They will and have fought our wars in the Middle East for us, doing what we find totally necessary in the area but which we can't do ourselves for whatever reasons. We have to support their military because we have often relied upon them almost as much as we do our own Army

    This relationship has become increasingly broken and fractious over the years but it is still there.

    And one must never forget that there are more Jews in New York City than in Israel

    What about the Vietnam War? The book "Dark Eagles" estimates that Israel assistance in helping the U.S. acquire Soviet built MIGs for dissimilar combat training saved the lives of HUNDREDS of American pilots in the Vietnam War. Some of these MIGs were acquired by Israel due to defections by Arab pilots. And an entire flight of MIGs mistakenly landed at an air base during the Six Day War not knowing that the IDF had overrun it.

    Wow, it's amazing that someone in the Israeli or US governments might write a book heaping praise on Israel.

    An ordained Jewish rabbi named Zakheim went to work in the Pentagon during the Reagan administration. God only knows how many other dual citizens work inside the Pentagon.
