I can't take you seriously. You use such terms as never and always which are absolutes then disregard possibilities which don't work in your favor.

Trumps rushed product had no long-term scientific data, and those that consumed it still have to wear a mask. I don't watch Tucker, so you will have to post a quote showing that he advised people not to take the vaccine.

Quote where I said he was "stupid". If you don't quote the word "stupid" you have made an "unsupportable claim"

And just in case you don't understand "irony", this is the "Trump didn't say the word 'insurrection'" defense..

I think what I said is pretty clear: only right wing extremist anti vaxers would fall for that idiotic argument.

So interesting to see COVID spikes in blue voter districts. I guess they don't want the vaccines, either. Empirical data seems to be the most convincing.

I'll just point out again, most of the unvaccinated people are young people, for whom the risk of the vaccine is more in line with the risk from COVID itself.

    upload_2021-8-2_15-47-50.png

There's more correlation between age and vaccine utilization than political affiliation. Hell, the USPS union and numerous teachers unions, and nursing unions have rejected mandatory vaccination.

But, liberals keep pushing the bovine excrement.

I'm so happy you notice that the "Trump didn't say the word insurrection" defense is childish.

As for the rest, I don't think they're "stupid". Just too easy to manipulate. I have no idea what "point" you were trying to make by confusing the two.

    You find that "interesting"?

Well... ok. I guess everybody should have a hobby. Just try not too use up too many of your neurons on it.

\My mother lives in Lakeland FL, and she had to go to the ER recently for a mini stroke.

The Hospital is so crowded with Covid patients, they made her wait 6 hours to see someone. Then, they put her in a hallway with an IV, where she sat on the floor for another 3 hours.

she NEVER saw aa doctor. after 10 hours, she pulled her own IV out of her arm and left the hospital, because she was overdue for several needed medications she couldnt get at the Hosp.

Now Medicare is trying to charge her the full cost of the visit, (almost $4,000 to get a single bag of Saline, and left to sit in a hallway ) . because she left "against doctors recomendation"

The "childish nonsense" to which I referred was you bringing up the non sequitur of "Trump didnt say the word insurrection". That topic had not one thing to do with what was being discussed.

As a poster on this board, you have regressed in a big way. You may want to take some time off to refresh yourself. It is becoming increasingly more difficult to take you seriously, and pointless retorts such as this are a shining example of why.

Are you serious? That is beyond crazy!!! Is she okay? Has she had a mini-stroke before? How do you all know that's what happened? Has she been in touch with her primary care doctor and/or cardiologist?

Encourage her to call the hospital and ask for a "patient advocate" (sometimes they are titled "social workers"). They should also have some kind of internal program to help cover or significantly reduce the bill. Someone in their billing office can help with that part. They usually have some kind of "window" in which it has be submitted but it's probably within that range if this happened recently.

Also, there should be a customer service number on the back of her insurance card (or possibly in whatever paperwork they send her). Encourage her to call that number and request to be assigned to a patient advocate (sometimes they are called different things - but the role is someone that can take a "complete" look at her medical history, medications, hospitalizations, etc. to make sure she is getting the services she needs to remain independent for as long as possible. This should help streamline her services and possibly get her approved for others she may not be aware of.

Again, I am SO SORRY your mom went through that. My heart hurts for her. I swear sometimes I come to this forum and I think I'm reading about 3rd world countries. It's a mess! There is absolutely no reason anybody in the US should ever go through this. We are 18 months in on this pandemic. This is NOT OKAY.

You give mom a hug from me, okay? ;-) I'm glad she's okay.

How do you know the hospital was crowded with Covid patients? One nurse said her hospital was crowded but only 6% were Covid patients. People go to the hospital for other things you know and there has been a backup because of the hospital shut downs.

That's exactly the childish nonsense I was referring to also. But, believe it or not, it's a very common argument (he didn't say the word 'insurrection') used by the right to try to excuse Trump.

    Here's an example from @kriman
    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...he-insurrection.590521/page-4#post-1072818786

For that reason I have coined the term "Trump-din't-say-the-word-insurrection argument"

I did alert you in the very same post that I was using irony (@kriman actually believes that's a real argument, believe it or not). I suspected that irony would confuse you. And I was right. But now you know... because I expect to use that phrase many times in this forum.

Still trying to get me to take the bait I see. Apparently you dont want to argue against what I say, but rather you prefer to argue against words that you falsely put into my mouth.

    I am not interested.

Uh Oh, gonna have to start trashing deer now for being unvaccinated. It’s the deer’s fault. Must be MAGA deer.

Between January and March 2021, the U.S. Department of Agriculture tested 385 white-tailed deer found throughout the states of Michigan, Illinois, New York and Pennsylvania, where they detected antibodies for SARS-CoV-2 in 40% of the population, both National Geographic and Nature reported on Monday.

But you're not SAYING anything. You're just attacking the way I chose to illustrate a point. As far as anything of substance... there is absolutely nothing in any of your posts in this thread. That's why I though we were just discussing "irony"./

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R), whose state is seeing skyrocketing cases of COVID-19, on Tuesday made a stunning about-face on his decision to sign a bill that prohibited local mask mandates.

“In hindsight, I wish that had not become law,” he conceded during a press briefing. “But it is the law, and the only chance we have is either to amend it or for the courts to say that it has an unconstitutional foundation.”

In a separate statement on Tuesday, the governor urged Arkansas lawmakers to hold a special session to carve an exemption into the law, passed earlier this year, that would allow school boards to decide whether to implement mask requirements.

Hutchinson’s backpedaling comes during a massive COVID-19 surge in Arkansas, which also has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country.

The ratio of deaths to cases has decreased. Not something gov wants to tell you.
