    Because you think Walmart is going to hire an ex-SEAL to guard every front door. Really? They're going to hire some dude for $12 an hour who is going to take down an active shooter in a flack jacket with an AK-47? Hell, a guard that Walmart would hire would be running with everyone else.

    Let's try to have a more realistic view of the world, shall we.

    I think it's too late to ban those weapons, there are too many of them already out there. The genie is out of the bottle and can't be crammed back in, even if there was a will to do so, which there isn't. You're stuck with it so it's either extra security or more mass shootings.

    Again, the world ain't a movie set. Walmart is not going to hire The Rock for $12 an hour to guard their front door.
    Any guard they would hire isn't going to face down a well armed shooter. They're going to run with everyone else and call for the cops.

    Even if you broke the glass, you would not be able to get the trigger lock off. I may not be remembering correctly, but I believe all the ones here would require a key before they were operational.

    Just a more realistic acceptance that if you want a society with a sacred 2nd Amendment, then you are going to get crazy people abusing it. Guns are not some kind of panacea to the world's injustice. They shouldn't be placed on a pedestal as has happened in this country.
