    "Global pandemic"

Well, you used the magic words that justify putting tens of millions of people out of work, locking them down in their homes indefinitely, destroying thousands of businesses, and ruining everything that makes life worth living.

Do you have a plan to get us out of this mess? Or do you plan on living in a dystopia forever?

Not doing this would be a good plan ...

If the pro-lockdown crowd gets their way, life will never return to normal. There will never be another large social gathering ever again. Millions of people will remain permanently unemployed. Thousands of once viable businesses will never return. Wearing a mask and other protective gear will become mandatory in almost every social setting. Virtually everything that gives life joy, purpose, and meaning will be ruined.

So you have no plan. You just expect people to live like robots and zombies indefinitely.

Big meany grandparent killers, being selfish by going to work to pay bills, putting food in their kid’s mouths, and keeping a roof over their head.

see I can be a emotional prepubescent sky screamer as well.

Nobody is locked down in their homes. You're allowed to go outside. You're allowed to go to the store for essential items. You're allowed to go to work if your work is still open.

And none of these restrictions were put in place just to **** with people. None of this was on a whim.

And, states are opening back up, except for hard hit areas.

There's a pandemic going on, as much as you want to pretend there isn't. These are not normal times but you're continuing to insist that we judge things as if they are.

Got news for you Bub. In hard times sacrifices are necessary. Nobody asked for this but it happened anyway. Another person's life may be worth less to you than your ability to go out and enjoy yourself but that's not a shared feeling across the entire country. Nor are you brave because you're not afraid of wimpy wittle virus. You're not noble. You're not patriotic. You're not standing up for what's right.

You're just being selfish and obtuse. But no sweat, you're not alone. Facebook is full of equally ******y people, intent on missing the point and pretending this is their moment to stand up and say no as they mentally play out their rebel fantasies, with them on the side of the angels of course.

    It's all just so tiresome.

It's a war on normalcy, waged by fanatics, and enforced by tyrants.

Or it's a cautious approach to an unknown virus that has killed thousands of Americans ... but if it helps you to strap that tin-foil hat on a little tighter, go ahead.

A cautious, rolling opening starting with less densely populated areas over the next few weeks ain't the end of the world.
Again, the options aren't just "A - shut down forever" and "B- re-open everything immediately no latter what the cost in lives."

Oh wow. We're allowed to do the bare minimum to keep ourselves alive and sane. How generous of you. I guess I should be grateful.

It absolutely was does on a whim. None of this "social distancing" lunacy had any firm basis in science. It is an entirely novel strategy based on speculation and guesswork. And it isn't even working. Data from New York State shows that two-thirds of recent COVID hospitalizations were from people who'd been abiding by the stay-at-home order.

The more conservative States are opening up while the more liberal States are finding ways to extend their lockdowns as long as possible.

Democrats love the "new normal" where they have absolute power over people. They also like that the economy has crashed because now they can blame it on Trump.

The only silver lining is that people can and probably will escape these Democratic lunatics into jurisdictions that still value normalcy.

There is nothing abnormal about a virus. What's abnormal is the insane overreaction to the virus by panicky idiots and cowards.

We're only living in "hard times" because people like you have needlessly ruined society over a virus that kills less than 1% of the people it infects.

Over 99% of people infected with COVID survive. And the majority of those who do die, were on the verge of death anyway. Many of them were inside nursing homes. So feel free to explain how a societal lockdown protects people who never go anywhere anyway.

You're just projecting right now. You're the one who clearly thinks of himself as brave, noble, and patriotic. Because that's what this is really about. It's an excuse for you virtue signal, to sneer at others, to exert control, to feel powerful. And because I want to rob you of those infantile and unearned feelings, you attack me and call me names. You're like a baby with a bottle. But all the milk is gone, little baby. And it's time for the adults to take control again. People like you are clearly not equipped to deal with real world problems in a way that is mature, sensible, and realistic.

    Ironic statement of the year.

Release the people a little at a time, just enough so they don't go into open revolt.

Under what specific conditions will it be acceptable for people to begin living normal lives again? If you can't answer that clearly and logically, then you have no other plan except indefinite lockdown.

You’re aware that a whole bunch of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, right? I mean being laid off, or some unforeseen disaster may not be the end of the world, but it sure does make life harder.

These idiots actually believe the "economy" can be severely damaged without causing irreparable harm to the lives and the health of the people most effected.
