Impeachment is dumb. They want to pretend like it matters. No president has been convicted in the senate ever. House impeachment proceedings are just as useless and pointless as congressional hearings. Zero teeth
Finish the job as in finding the evidence his investigation couldn't. Mueller is a puppet for the Democrats and just doesn't want to disappoint them. He could easily have recommended indicting Trump as Starr did with Clinton. Why didn't he? Recommending is not the same as indicting someone so the DOJ would have nothing to say about that.
Pretty good from the Opposition parties perspective, considering they won the following election. Also, I'm Canadian, I don't have a "party"
It's in the Mueller report, section 2. 13 examples of obstruction by Trump If he was not president he would be indicted
So if you yourself can't clearly state what that obstruction was, why should anyone believe you when you say it clearly exists? I'm not asking for 13 examples, I'm just asking for one.
read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mueller_Report#Episodes_of_alleged_obstruction President orders McGahn to deny reports[edit source] Section I of Volume II of the report describes the events of this episode.[110] After the news broke out in late January 2018, that Trump ordered Don McGahn to fire Robert Mueller in June 2017, Trump pressured McGahn to deny the reports. "After the story broke, the President, through his personal counsel and two aides, sought to have McGahn deny that he had been directed to remove the Special Counsel," the report reads.[174][142] Trump told then-White House Staff Secretary Rob Porterto tell McGahn to create a record that makes clear Trump never directed McGahn to fire the Special Counsel. "Porter thought the matter should be handled by the White House communications office, but the President said he wanted McGahn to write a letter to the file 'for our records' and wanted something beyond a press statement to demonstrate that the reporting was inaccurate. The President referred to McGahn as a 'lying bastard' and said that he wanted a record from him".[175][151] Porter recalled Trump "saying something to the effect of 'If he doesn't write a letter, then maybe I'll have to get rid of him'".[176][151] Trump did not fire McGahn, who departed on October 17, 2018.[149
The investigation was not focused on obstruction, it was focused on Russian collusion by the Trump campaign which the investigation did not find. The report provided examples of obstruction during the investigation that Mueller believes is now up to congress to investigate. Pelosi is investigating the obstruction charges but will not impeach until the investigation is complete and evidence is found.
Clinton's approval ratings rose during the impeachment process. Most people recognize impeachment was a mistake. You seem to care, since you're here.
Heh heh heh. LOTS more to come. Mueller is done so now the House is able to begin, and they are. By submitting intentions to begin an impeachment inquiry they now get complete access to Trump's tax returns, finances, McGahn's testimony, and anything else they want and trump can't stop them. Now the fun begins!
So? The only polls that actually matter are the ones at the ballot box. The Dems lost to Bush even though the economy was doing well and Clinton had achieved a surplus. I do. There are a couple of issues I agree with the Rs on, there are more then a few that I agree with the Dems on, and there are a bunch from both that I think are ridiculous. Doesn't mean I have a "party".
I'm really tired of all this winning. These people couldn't find one thing? Like not even trump shop lifting a twinkie when he was a kid?
Congress does not do or finish criminal investigations. The DOJ does and it finished the investigation.
Hearsay is not evidence. Deeds are evidence, and there is no deed of McGahn being fired, Mueller being fired, or Mueller's witch hunt being restricted or impeded in any way by the Trump administration. No obstruction.
He had a duty to reccommend to the AG if an indictment and prosecution was warranted. He did not. Mueller did not report to Congress.
He didn't have to do that. The law says he is to report to the AG whether he is charging a crime and seeking an indictment in order to prosecute. He did not.
